New mod on Reddit is at war with anyone who disagrees

He calls any discussion about the current state of Mexico a "war story." But apparently, these "stories" only bother him when they're written by people who don't share his worldview. It’s funny, though—he didn't seem to mind those two posts on the same page mentioning "fascists" and that notorious prisoner camp at Fort Knox, nor did he blink at the quote from King Nikola threatening to "incinerate the enemies of Mexicans." 🤷

According to his particular brand of logic, anyone with a different opinion is strictly forbidden from using terms like "fascism," "anti-fascism," or discussing artillery strikes, let alone linking historical movements together in any context whatsoever.

To me, this feels like a petty vendetta. 🤷 It’s as if he joined the local small-town police force just so he could start arresting everyone in the village who ever dared to show him a hint of disrespect.

They certainly aren't going to remove him, and judging by how much he seems to relish this new power trip, there's no way he's going to step down on his own.

So, I say, just let it go. It simply isn't worth the effort or the blood pressure spike.

Personally, I don't mind 99.99% of the posts on this site, but I'd say the Politics section is slowly morphing into a dedicated feed for "various Kremlin and pro-Kremlin media." It's fine to post links to propaganda pieces from RT or Logicno, but at the same time, any actual free discussion—especially criticism of Putinism—gets shut down, which is exactly what the new mod supports and promotes.
What we're seeing in Politics today feels like a systematic sterilization of the subforum, turning it into a sort of miniature "Putinland," where Putin's secret police are constantly flagging and punishing anyone who disagrees with the Great Leader over some trivial, technicality-based excuse. 🤦
I have to say, the sheer shallowness and vindictiveness of the new mod caught me off guard. 🤷 I really thought better of him...

I made my stance clear the second I saw who was chosen—I’m done with political threads. Looking at this now, the usual lively debates have just completely dried up compared to how things used to be. This election was one of the biggest political disasters in recent memory. As long as Andrey is moderating, I won't be participating—and I’m calling on everyone else to just boycott the whole thing.

Honestly, everyone is overreacting. This moderator is perfectly professional and fair; there is absolutely no connection here to censorship, vendettas, or any of that nonsense.

I don't necessarily agree with everything Andrea says—and we don't have to—so I certainly haven't felt any special treatment when expressing different views.

Compared to the chaos during the migrant crisis back in late 2015, this is nothing more than a drop in the bucket.

Perhaps you haven't noticed, but the posts found via those links aren't being flagged; they're just people sharing the same perspective.
Frankly, I couldn't care less about what other users are posting. My point is simply that, in my specific case, the moderator essentially fabricated an "infraction," deleted my post, and then handed me a strike on top of it all.

I fail to see the point in this crusade against a fellow user, but just so there's no confusion regarding the OP's complaint, I'd issue a ban without a second thought if it were up to me. Honestly, I’d go back through the archives and clear out anyone incapable of reading a simple thread title.

I might circle back later tonight if more of these unformatted posts continue to pop up.

How hard is it to grasp that this kind of conflict doesn't belong in the Politics section—especially when the thread titles explicitly state otherwise? Seriously, how difficult can it be?
