We had our chances. I guess if that shot from Andrej Kramarić had gone in at the start of extra time, or if Ante Oršić had connected... we might have had a shot. Just my thought.
We were honestly too naive with those goals we let in. Our defense hasn't been up to par for ages. Even some tiny little teams out there seem to defend better than we do. But whatever. We're small, but we hold our own.
If we actually had a population like the Spanish or the Italians instead of just 4 million, we’d be beating everyone. Even now, we’re giving them trouble. It’s pretty wild what we pull off.
