Weekly Creativity Challenge #2

The woman I always wanted to be

February 22nd. I was surrounded on all sides by the enemy.
With the last bit of strength left in my body, I’m fighting to take back what’s mine.
My fingers are stiff.
I'm losing my breath. It feels like the oxygen is just draining out of my lungs.
I keep pushing back. I’m making it happen, but with every move, I feel myself slipping away.
A flash! I can't even tell if I'm still alive, but I keep fighting.
Another flash!
Suddenly, someone else is fighting right beside me. I'm not sure. A hallucination?
No! I see a masked woman with blonde hair, fighting right there with me!
She’s surrounded too. She grabs my hands and tells me, "Hang in there!"
"Get up! Fight back! Fight, Josh!"
The enemies are finally backing off. I drive them away, and this masked woman fights like nobody ever has before!
In a soft voice, I ask her, "Who are you? Where did you come from, and why the mask?"
She doesn't say a word; she just keeps fighting!

I know the standard way. 😁
When you start a new thread, right under the "Post New Thread" button, there's an
additional option
that says
"Yes, add a poll to this topic."

Then you just enter the number of options for the poll.

I asked her, in this shaky, quiet voice, "Who are you? Where did you come from? Why the mask?"
She didn't say a word. She just kept fighting.
