Hey everyone. I’m currently dealing with some health issues that haven't been diagnosed yet, and honestly, it's making it impossible to function normally. It all started about three weeks ago with constant, painless urination every 10 to 15 minutes. It wasn't just a few drops; it was a full, steady stream. This went on for about two days. About ten hours in, I headed to a urologist who ran some tests, but everything came back fine—blood work and urinalysis were both totally normal. Looking back, I also remember having occasional headaches in my forehead area before bed over the last couple of weeks. Since this past Sunday, I’ve been feeling pretty drunk. I’m also experiencing phantom smells—scents that aren't actually in the room—and I can't focus on basic daily tasks. My speech feels disoriented, almost like there's a delay between my thoughts and my brain processing information. On top of that, I have zero sensation in my body. My arms, legs, head, and genitals feel completely numb; it’s like if someone tried to touch my skin with a knife or a flame, I wouldn't even flinch. I don't even feel the urge to go to the bathroom anymore; I just go "on autopilot" every few hours. Physically, I can move around fine, but the lack of sensation is total. My sense of smell is also significantly weakened, maybe down to 10% or 15% capacity, though my sense of taste and my temperature seem normal. No fever, though. A neurologist ran several tests and said everything looks okay—the head CT was clear, and the MRIs for my brain, cervical, and thoracic spine were also normal (brain was done on a 1.5T machine, while the neck and spine were done on a 3T). These periods of numbness and mental fog tend to ease up for a few hours during the day before coming right back. I’m not sure if anyone else has dealt with similar symptoms or if there are specific tests I should look into next. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hey, coppertrucker11... I’m actually dealing with something pretty similar right now, so I was wondering if you’ve finally gotten your bladder control back to normal or if you’re still struggling with it.

Have you actually gone and had an EEG done yet?

I don't know, maybe it’s just me, but this whole thing feels like it’s hitting the psychological side of things—like some kind of chemical imbalance in the brain triggering all these weird sensations

At least, that’s what I was told after everything was processed. I mean, my symptoms aren't an exact match, but they’re close enough in a way, if you get what I mean

Lately, my main issue has been this intense sinus pressure at night. It hits me so hard that it wakes me up out of nowhere, leaving me totally lost and wondering how the hell I'm supposed to deal with it myself—though I did have this constant pressure for an entire day right before that started
Before that, it was all sorts of stuff—numbness in my hands and feet, this unbearable pressure in my head, even numbness in my face and my tongue

My EEG came back clean... brain scan looks fine too. I can still go to the bathroom, it's just that I don't actually get the signal when my bladder is full. Heading into the outpatient neurology clinic this Wednesday for some more tests. Fingers crossed for me. 😳

My concentration is shot—I can't focus on basic daily tasks—and when I talk, I feel disoriented, like there's a lag between my brain and my mouth. On top of all that, I’ve lost sensation in pretty much my entire body. My arms, legs, head... it's like if someone took a lighter or a knife to my skin, I wouldn't even flinch. Physically, I can move around fine, but there's absolutely zero feeling. My sense of smell is also pretty much trashed, maybe at 10% to 15% capacity (though taste and temperature sensitivity seem okay), and I don't have a fever. A neurologist ran some tests and said everything looks okay too. Had a head CT, an MRI of the brain, and MRIs of my neck and spine (brain was on a 1.5T machine, neck/spine on a 3T)—all came back clear. These bouts of numbness and total confusion come and go for a few hours at a time, then they just settle back in. I don't know if anyone else has dealt with anything like this or if there are specific tests I should be pushing for. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Get tested for COVID antibodies—whether you think you had it or not.

And what are they saying...?

Long COVID syndrome is becoming a frequent topic of discussion lately, appearing everywhere from news outlets to various Facebook groups. There are so many people sharing nearly identical experiences... I actually posted my own symptoms in a previous thread near the top of this page, even though I was never officially diagnosed with the virus. I’m planning to go get my antibody test checked out soon...

I think my nerves might be acting up... they've been giving me painkiller injections lately. Had bloodwork done, a urine test, and an X-ray on my neck too. Should have the results back by Monday, I guess.
