If anyone happens to have any insight into what might be causing this issue, or perhaps some wisdom on how to resolve it, I would be most grateful.

Take a long look at those contact cables and the GPU connection, just to be safe.

We aren't seeing any green dots on our end.

Maybe try borrowing a GPU from someone else, or just pop your own card into a different PC to see if the issue follows the hardware.

I went ahead and double-checked all the cabling, but unfortunately, that wasn't the culprit. 😢

Yeah, it’s likely the graphics card... I'm just praying that isn't the case. 😁 I'll give that a shot.

Anyway, I just snapped a photo with my phone so you guys should be able to spot the artifacts now. View on imgur

Issues like that are usually caused by the graphics card. If you have one, you could always try switching over to the integrated graphics instead.

Honestly, if I were in your shoes, I’d probably just yank that GPU out of the motherboard one more time and give everything a good, thorough blast of compressed air... just to be safe.
Unless you've already tried that...
Because if the issue persists after that, there's a 99.9% chance the card itself is toast.
That tiny 0.1% margin of error? That's just the possibility that you're dealing with a faulty cable or a cheap adapter if you're using one at all.

I mean, it’s almost certainly a dead graphics card.

Why wouldn't it be the monitor??? Like, if there’s some tiny little scorch mark on the image processor chip, couldn't that cause those weird dots to show up???

The very first thing I’d honestly do is just plug the monitor into a different PC to see if it still acts up.

Then I'd check the graphics card, maybe pull it out and try switching over to the integrated graphics if the motherboard supports it.

I’m pretty sure a monitor either works or it doesn't... there isn't really a middle ground here.
But then again—science taught us a long time ago that anything is technically possible, even if it's highly unlikely... 🤣🤣
