The situation is this: I am essentially a corporate drone because my actual degree didn't offer much better than door-to-door sales. I took this job at a major firm simply because there were no other viable options, though if I weren't here, someone else would be filling the seat, working just as hard and producing results as impressive as mine or those of my colleagues—who are actually decent, hardworking, and intelligent people. The issue is the hierarchy; the head of this organization is utterly incompetent, leaving us drowning in work they lack the skill to organize, all while displaying borderline psychopathic traits. No one likes them, yet everyone acts terrified, since their only talent is hunting for reasons to criticize.

I find myself unwilling to labor in such a toxic environment, and frankly, I have no desire to contribute to an institution that fails to provide even mediocre service to its clients. There is no satisfaction in striving within a broken system where my efforts yield no benefit for anyone. I spend my days watching rightfully dissatisfied customers.

My intention is to exit this role and use my sick leave to invest in myself through online courses to acquire practical skills. However, I lack the mental fortitude to study after returning home from work completely drained. While I have already enrolled in a course and made some progress, it feels agonizingly slow compared to how I wish to utilize my time. It is impossible to maintain any momentum when half a day is spent staring at a computer screen at the office, leaving me without the energy to dedicate the several hours of focused study I desire.

Does anyone have a realistic strategy that might actually work?

I have considered a few paths, but they are either too short-term or difficult to execute. I have even contemplated breaking a toe; it seems a small price to pay for the freedom I would gain, provided someone has a more sensible suggestion. A faked spinal injury at a local gym might suffice, given that I have dealt with a legitimate one before, though I doubt such a ruse would buy me more than ten days.

So, I am open to suggestions...

Dear all,

While I understand the pressure you're under, we can't permit this discussion here. Essentially, you're looking for ways to game the system and secure fraudulent medical leave just to focus on business training. You’ll need to find a legitimate way to manage these issues.

Best regards,
