I’m honestly kind of looking to vent about this warning I caught from Kevin over on that thread about the riots in America. Basically, I was pointing out how the exact same crowd that was cheering on Zachary back in the day is now suddenly all about criticizing the police for Floyd's death. I went down a bit of a hypothetical rabbit hole, suggesting that if you're okay with people being killed when they're convicted criminals, then logically, you're fine with it happening to criminals today too. I didn't put it quite that bluntly, but the admin definitely caught the drift of what I was getting at.

Then, just a couple of days ago, the same mod slapped me with another little 5-point warning, apparently for "low activity" or something? I have no clue why, because I haven't even been posting anything inflammatory lately. I mean, sure, you could take my previous comment the wrong way, but my intention wasn't to start a massive flame war—I was just trying to highlight some glaring inconsistencies in how people fight "the system."

Anyway, here’s hoping we can clear up this whole misunderstanding.

When I say "take a break, you're typing too much," consider that a new official penalty in the system, not something I just made up... I usually reserve that phrase for some lighthearted trolling because that's just how it sounds to me. Think of it as a 5-point warning that you're pushing the trolling bit a little too hard on this thread; honestly, we could have probably handled it via DM, but I figured this would get the point across well enough.

You pretty much diagnosed the rest of the situation yourself.

Look, if I’m trolling, then I’m just trolling at the exact same level as everyone else here who either agrees with me or doesn't. I haven't seen anyone on this forum getting all worked up over my posts, really. Even with this controversial one, nobody’s actually replied and I wasn't even trying to force the issue. It was just a straight-up observation. That post wasn't meant to be my personal manifesto; it was just a logical follow-up for the people who were backing Zachary back then but are suddenly out here condemning the police now.
You know perfectly well that when it came to the whole Zachary situation, I was dead set against that way of handling things. At the same time, I'm not exactly a fan of the police going around killing people for no reason or acting like they're some kind of vigilantes.
I honestly thought my position was pretty obvious from the post, but if it wasn't, well, there it is—clarified. If you still want to insist this is all just worth 300 points, then honestly, what am I supposed to do about that?

Everyone on this thread agrees that Chauvin’s actions were straight-up psychopathic, spanning from the far left to the far right... yet you went after everyone with those ad hominem attacks, claiming they were defending Zachary, when the debate was anything but unanimous, since most people here were actually pushing back against anyone trying to take justice into their own hands.

Even if we were to pretend these situations are identical—which they aren't—Zachary (whom I wasn't defending then or now) was simply neutralizing the people who posed a direct threat to him at that exact moment.

Look, you’ve got it wrong. I never said everyone who condemns Floyd's death was out there backing Zachary. I can't recall the exact wording I used, but I definitely used some kind of term to distinguish the two.
What I’m actually getting at is this: if you were all for "cleaning up society" by supporting the premeditated execution of three criminals, then you can't turn around and use that same logic to justify what happened to Floyd as just another way to purge criminals from the streets. Especially since Floyd had a much heavier rap sheet than those three guys in Orlando. It’s wild how the same people who were cheering for the deaths of three men back then are now acting all shocked and outraged over one death—and even that one might not have been intentional.

Like I already said, if you can't see my point and just want to label me a troll to dock me 300 points, there's nothing I can do about that. But if I am going to lose them, I want it to be because of the actual argument I made, not because of the things you're trying to pin on me. I'm saying this so we can move on, because apparently, drawing a straight line between two logical points is too much to ask for here. Just so we're clear, I'm the first person to condemn the absolute garbage behavior regarding Floyd.

P.S. Honestly, nobody’s actually being directly threatened by Zachary here. The guy’s all muscle and he’s clearly been playing the long game for a while now—buying a rifle, practicing his aim, and all that. He hasn't even bothered reporting any extortion to the cops, probably because he doesn't want to deal with the disappointment of seeing if the system actually works or not. Besides, just a little while before his little crusade, the local police in an area like Orlando managed to bust two extortionists who were making up fake debts to target people, which was all over the news. So, yeah, regarding his "direct threat" status...

I know it’s off-topic, but you totally caught me on a technicality there.

I’m not trying to make excuses for Zachary, I’m just pointing out there was a specific trigger for what happened...
Alright, maybe I misread your point, so I’ll ask the supermods to lift your ban once the 24 hours are up, it won't be a problem. And I'll make sure you don't end up with 300 strikes on your record either.

I have to say, I’m actually pretty pleasantly surprised here, and I really appreciate it.

Look, I think I'll dial back the intensity on my end just a little bit for once.
