I’ve got restless legs, aches, dizziness, anxiety, and I just can't focus on anything. Everything went south about two days ago, and honestly, it's even worse than before. I haven't seen my doctor yet, but last time she told me it was just massive stress and prescribed normabel, warning me strictly not to take it for more than 10 days.

I can't make it to an appointment right now since it's Saturday, and man, I haven't slept a wink. Is there any other medication out there—something that isn't addictive—that actually works? What am I supposed to do when things get this bad and you feel totally lost? I'm having these attacks where my heart races, I'm sweating, my legs ache, and they won't stop twitching. I just need to find some relief until Monday so I can finally see my doctor.

Thanks in advance!

If you want to go the natural route, try sipping some lemon balm tea a few times a day. Or, if you want something easier, just grab some herbal Persen Forte capsules—you can get those over the counter at any CVS. Personally, I find it works best to stick to the natural stuff during the day and save the normabel for right before bed to help me wind down.
But look, the real kicker is finding out what’s actually triggering your anxiety. If you can't pin it down, you gotta sit with it and try to tackle the actual issue. Once you deal with the root cause, the symptoms usually just vanish. I learned that the hard way myself.

I'm actually sipping on some tea right now, thanks! I also picked up some 15% CBD, so let's see if that does the trick too.

Normabel is just a temporary fix—a Band-Aid, really. If you're still dealing with this, you probably need to sit down with a psychiatrist and/or a psychotherapist to get to the root of things.

If you can afford it, go private. This whole situation reminds me of my father’s experience; he was dealing with constant bouts of acute pancreatitis, yet they kept prescribing him Amplipin and treating every single episode like it was some kind of heart issue...
Lemon balm tea actually works wonders. It helps me sleep much more soundly when I use it. You can find tinctures or even specialized blends that mix lemon balm with lavender and other herbs—check out the selection at Whole Foods...

If we aren't looking at a physical ailment and this is more of a mental hurdle, I’d suggest heading straight to a psychiatrist. It’s really no different than seeing a dentist when you have a toothache. 😁

To me, this feels like the onset of anxiety. My best advice would be to try not to obsess over every little bodily sensation, avoid burning yourself out by fighting insomnia or other side effects, and definitely keep some anti-anxiety meds on hand to take as needed.

Try to pinpoint whatever is triggering the stress and look at the situation through a bit of a rational lens.

Good luck!

First off, go get your Vitamin D levels checked, along with any other vitamins or minerals that could be causing this mess.

Nobody ever bothers to look at that stuff. Just speaking from experience.

Don't mention it. Hope it helps a bit. It sucks, but try not to obsess over the symptoms. Just relax as much as you can.
