Man, easy for you to talk shit when you don't have a clue.
I'm over here talking about grinders, blood, welding, and WD-40, while you're rambling on about wizards, the underworld, and horoscopes.
And it wasn't some bloody mosquitoes, it was a bloody angle grinder. Iβm out here earning new macho scars... right down to the bone.
Well, at least it kept me busy.
I actually started reading Harry Potter back when the first editions came out (maybe from Scholastic?). At first, I was hooked. The imagination... the way they built that world so convincingly. But then the second, the third part... just repetition. Where does it end? Then it all got commercialized with the movies, so I just gave up on it. Since when did you see an angle grinder in HP?
It's the exact same story with A Song of Ice and Fire. Read the first edition myself (Scholastic again?). Same thingβgreat imagination, great immersion. But then the second, then the third... characters, lands, who even cares anymore. And then once it got turned into those big movie franchises... and when they opened some tacky museum or whatever in Miami... it just feels cheap.
Anyway, I get the feeling that silver-haired dragon girl and that northern half-brother will eventually find each other. Though, honestly, even the author probably hasn't figured that out yet...
That whole mosquito thing actually made me think about patenting a new method for dealing with them. Using an angle grinder. Picture this: us running around at night, just grinding mosquitoes into dust. Vivid, isn't it...
