Hey 👍

So, I was wondering... what kind of supplements—you know, vitamins, minerals, whatever—actually work for strengthening enamel? I’m dealing with constant cavities, and my gums are also acting up because of some periodontitis issues... Is there anything out there you guys swear by? Or maybe a specific mouthwash or some other remedy that actually does something for these kinds of problems?

I was wondering if there are any specific supplements—like vitamins or minerals—that actually help strengthen enamel or deal with frequent cavities? Also, anything for gum health when dealing with periodontitis? I'm curious if you'd recommend a particular mouthwash or anything else you think really works for these issues.

I don't think there's any supplement you can take that will actually improve your enamel from the inside out or cure periodontitis. Once your enamel is set, I guess you can't really change its quality with vitamins or anything we ingest.
Maybe you could try using a toothpaste with "repair" technology along with a soft-bristle brush so you aren't wearing down the enamel. Using an interdental brush too might help prevent further decay.
And, I suppose, you should brush before meals rather than right after, just to give those acids time to neutralize first.

Brushing and flossing is obvious—but honestly, what you eat matters just as much. Cutting back on the soda and sugary snacks helps save your enamel from a disaster. I’ve found it’s also way more effective to brush right before hitting the sack. Stick to things like carrots, yogurt, nuts, and leafy greens if you actually want to keep your teeth intact.

A solid toothbrush, high-quality toothpaste, an oral irrigator, plus staying on top of hygiene and regular checkups.
That’s really all there is to it, I guess.
