Just a small correction and some extra context here. This isn't just about suppression; it's about the total erasure of the Uyghurs. Even John Oliver covered this issue recently— . I don't think I've ever felt quite so emotionally devastated by footage before. It’s even more sickening to see Disney thanking the Communist Party and the elites running that controversial province in the end credits for allowing them to film there.

On top of that, the lead actress is openly backing a fascist, repressive regime that crushes democracy.

That is more than enough for me to skip this movie entirely.

I haven't even bothered watching a cartoon, so I certainly won't be wasting my time on this movie.

Look, there are some decent scenes—the landscapes and the capital city look great, and the costumes are solid. Does it feel realistic? Honestly, who cares? That’s what documentaries are for; I don't watch a Disney movie to get a history lesson. The fight sequences felt a bit tedious to me, and it could have used more humor, too. But overall, it was more entertaining than I expected.
Just a cute little flick that I'll probably forget by next week...

I suppose I wasn't aware that one actually had to sit through a movie before being allowed to offer an opinion on it. I suspect perhaps 90% of the people participating in this thread haven't even seen it, yet somehow, I've become the villain here. Fine by me, I guess. 😁

Just caught this at the local AMC. It’s a decent way to relax and enjoy the big screen experience, but honestly, the movie itself isn't anything groundbreaking. It’s pretty predictable—you can see exactly where it’s headed from a mile away. I’m not even sure I’d have the patience to sit through the whole thing at home. 👍

The acting was top-notch, but don't expect this one to stick in your memory. It’s perfectly fine if you just want to zone out and chill. Naturally, kids will probably get a lot more out of it than adults will. 😁

It's perfectly okay for a theater trip, though I'm not sure if I'd bother picking it up for a home viewing later...
There have been much better Disney remakes (like > or >) and definitely worse ones (like >), so I'd say this one sits somewhere right in the middle...
