So, where do we draw the line when it comes to how much disrespect we're supposed to just swallow from the same group of people? You know, the ones who don't have even a shred of common ground with alternative health.

If I'm not totally tripping here, this whole thread is meant for discussing ALTERNATIVE methods—that’s literally what the title says, right? Or am I just seeing things? Because myself and everyone else here who actually has something useful to contribute, we're just following the rules.

But then you've got these exact same people popping up constantly, dumping massive walls of text about scientific papers and academic studies and various data points. Data that, frankly, absolutely nobody interested in these topics gives a single damn about. They throw out these "authoritative" results and whatever else, which have zero connection to alternative medicine and basically nothing to do with why we're even here.

And get this—this is the really interesting part—these same folks (seriously, pay attention here) are nowhere to be found in the science threads or the discussions regarding conventional medicine. Isn't that just wild? If they're such huge science buffs who preach science as the only gold standard, why aren't they hanging out there? Or acting like experts on conventional medicine and pharmaceuticals?
I honestly have no clue how or why that is. And hey, it's not my job to solve that mystery. But the way they're behaving in the alternative health section? It is seriously crossing every line imaginable.

Just try looking at the numbers—count how many posts us "alternative" folks actually make in the science sections or the conventional medicine threads.

And does anyone of us ever write in those spaces the way they write here? Does any one of us go into those threads and start insulting people? Does anyone of us even bother engaging in a real conversation with the people over there?

They all follow the exact same playbook. Every single one of them. And I'm not even talking about clones or some weird conspiracy stuff... I'm trying to suggest they have one singular objective. Just one. To kill off this forum and drive us all away until we lose the will to even post here. Please, someone, try to convince me I'm wrong ☕

@Larry Allen34/">@@Larry Allen34 laid it all out perfectly in his previous posts: 3626, 3627, 3644, 3645, and 3646 (over in the "cancer treatment" thread).
There really isn't a single word more needed to back up those posts. Anyone looking at this situation with even a bit of common sense—specifically within the context of the topic being discussed—should see exactly what's going on.

It also makes me wonder: how would any of us "alternative" types fare if we started posting the same kind of garbage in the science or conventional medicine threads? How would we handle it if we started shamelessly attacking and belittling everything people believe in and "specialize" in over there? Especially with this level of sheer vitriol. Because these people clearly have no boundaries, and the insults just keep coming.
As far as I can tell, not a single one of them has even received a slap on the wrist, let alone anything serious.

The only conclusion I can draw is that someone around here really wants these specific topics to die out completely. Or maybe nobody cares about "alternative health" at all. Which is funny, because this approach has proven itself way more successful for treating cancer than almost any conventional method out there.
Whatever people want to think about it.

This whole alternative health section has become an absolute embarrassment for this forum. And that's solely thanks to these certain personas and the people who just sit there and allow it to happen.

I once wrote a short post here, something similar to this, and it was nuked within minutes. I still haven't figured out why.
This post, however, is constructive. It asks real questions and deals with a real issue regarding the "Alternative Health" forum.
I sincerely hope this one doesn't get the axe.

I'm hoping for at least some kind of meaningful response to everything I've laid out here.

Thanks.

P.S.
Just so we're clear... I'm not defending anyone's right to be abusive. Not the opposition, and not the alternative crowd. Regardless of whatever manufactured provocations the opposition tries to stir up.

Quackery
Section 184.

(1) Any individual who practices medicine or provides other forms of medical assistance without having the required professional credentials,

shall be subject to a prison sentence of up to one year.

Honestly, everyone on this forum should probably be banned—instead of being coddled and looked after, we need some actual accountability.

I'm with Justin Gray81 on this one—the way people are hijacking the alternative medicine cancer treatment thread has gone way too far. It’s a total violation of the standard rules here on the forum. Usually, you'd get a permanent ban for cluttering a thread like this...

We need a moderator, and we need one now. We’re insisting. This is a high-value thread being completely trashed, and honestly, it’s in the best interest of the entire site to get this sorted out immediately...

We want the thread rules to actually be enforced, just like they are in every other section of this forum...

There are plenty of people willing to step up and moderate that specific thread. For instance, I’d suggest Ben or anyone else who is actually meaningfully involved in the topic...

Look, this is going straight to the admins. I’m asking the admin team to either step in and do something or just shut the thread down entirely so the alternative health discussion can move over to another board...

Let me repeat: this pathetic situation is unsustainable. The admins need to react, and they need to do it now, whatever that looks like...

It’s honestly pretty hilarious watching these kinds of calls to action pop up right after five different threads were opened asking for moderation due to insults, off-topic rambling, spamming, and those nasty ad hominem attacks directed at anyone here who advocates for alternative medicine—not to mention how some folks are probably going to start doing the exact same thing following this post.

And yet, at the very same time, people try to defend their version of "alternative health" with posts like these:

Larry Allen34 said:....
Man... seriously, did you even consider for one second in that ego-driven head of yours that someone might actually be suffering because of all this? That there might be a genuine chance someone could find relief through alternative medicine, and by leaving them feeling confused and totally lost about where to turn, you've effectively robbed them of any hope of finding help in the first place?

Well, I'm done dealing with your nonsense—if you look down below, you'll see the long list of pack members who've already been sent straight to my ignore list, and I haven't wasted another breath on them since. You're next on the list—hasta la vista, baby!

Or maybe with outbursts like this:

Then there are the posts where they basically act as walking billboards for the "works" of proven frauds and charlatans.

They hide behind the label of "alternative" to peddle views and products that have absolutely zero connection to reality—methods that lack any standing, credibility, or actual results. That isn't an "alternative," it's nothing. Real alternative medicine consists of a set of methods that provide verifiable results in specific areas of treatment compared to standard approaches. But claiming that some "method" like eating seeds or drinking carrot juice cures 80% of cancer cases today—and then blaming some "shadowy lobby" for why those results aren't published—is just pure idiocy. Intentionally spreading false, unproven, and baseless data meets all the criteria for a criminal offense; furthermore, advertising, advising, and coercing people to use such things is nothing less than practicing medicine without a license. Short and sweet.

Discussions regarding cancer treatment and vaccinations are far too risky because they end up nudging people away from conventional medicine. I firmly believe everyone has the right to make their own choices regarding their bodies, but practicing medicine without a license is a criminal offense. Ethan Brooks59 recently brought up the tragic case of a woman in her 50s who walked away from her doctors to try therapies she found on some random online forum... We’re also seeing all too often how preventable outbreaks occur simply because people refuse to vaccinate.

If we were to keep these topics active, I feel there should be much stricter rules about what can actually be advised. Perhaps authors would only be allowed to post if they included a heavy disclaimer stating they aren't guaranteeing success since their methods haven't undergone any clinical trials and are based entirely on anecdotal evidence or hearsay, or something along those lines...

Plus, we see frequent outbreaks caused by people skipping vaccinations.

If those topics were allowed to stay active, I think any kind of advice should be fine, provided the author includes a heavy disclaimer stating they aren't guaranteeing results since their methods haven't gone through clinical trials and are based on hearsay or whatever.

When you start a thread like this, that disclaimer should be in the very first post—I personally have zero issues with that. Also, the thread should be labeled as "alternative" or clearly marked as something unrelated to standard medical practices (which applies to a ton of illnesses). Forcing a conventional viewpoint just to shut down or discredit alternative health discussions should be treated like any other attempt to derail a conversation... it's basically automatic at this point.

You guys are constantly wrecking the thread—I've never seen anything like this on an American message board. In all my time online, I haven't run into anything quite like this. It’s fascinating how you jump onto these complaint threads just to turn them into a total mess... honestly unbelievable.

You're right about one thing—the admins need to decide whether to shut the thread down and move it to a different forum, or protect it with moderation so it can actually function properly.

I'm down for whatever decision gets made—just make a call already.

Ethan Brooks59 said:Alternative medicine is essentially just an expensive collection of methods that claim to offer verifiable results in various types of treatments.

In my view, if a method produces consistent, verifiable, and successful results, it’s considered part of mainstream medicine. By its very definition, alternative medicine covers those approaches that haven't been proven effective or simply don't work reliably.

Maybe this thread should be locked, or perhaps we could start a new one specifically designed to warn people about how unreliable alternative health can be. Otherwise, you'll have people coming in here claiming they cured their cancer with nothing but Twinkies.

Ethan Brooks59 - love your attitude. Yeah, thanks for grabbing that one little snippet of mine out of context—totally ignoring the actual point I was making in my previous posts. Honestly, that little quote of yours deserves a ban just as much as 99% of your other crap on this thread. In plain English? You should be kicked off this board entirely.

Personally, I’m embarrassed to even be using this kind of language here. This thread is about serious illnesses, and people have way more heavy-duty questions here than they do on basically any other part of the site. That’s why I’m calling for a moderator to step in and shut this nonsense down.

I could say the exact same thing to you as I did to our colleague—it is truly mind-blowing how some of you guys show up just to cause chaos. Just unbelievable...

On the bright side, I’m actually glad you pulled that quote of mine. Maybe now the admins will finally take a look at what’s really going on here and see who’s actually driving the conflict, trashing the thread, and causing regular users—people like me who aren't even thinking about bickering—to get banned. When I want to argue, I go to the political boards where the mods actually enforce strict rules and hand out bans when someone crosses the line. That’s all alternative medicine needs. If we had that, most problems would vanish. The yelling would stop, and people could actually focus on the topic, share knowledge or experiences, discuss side effects from certain therapies, and move forward. Through that progress, maybe we could actually help someone fighting a serious disease that mainstream medicine has given up on.

Richard Sanders7 said:some folks are out here claiming they can cure cancer with jelly donuts.

If I can just jump in here for a sec... I couldn't help but notice...

I think the real crux of the matter is whether people actually have the right to try treating themselves with nothing but donuts.
In my book? Nah, they don't. But—and this is a big but—they absolutely have the right to find their own path to getting healthy however they see fit.

To put it another way: you’ve got professionals handling actual medical care, whereas some random advice on a message board about "curing" stuff with pastries isn't exactly medical treatment.

So, my final take: just rename that PDF to something like "alternative health" or whatever.

Glad to see you showed up too—but yeah, you're spot on. Either lock this thread down or have the mods pin a disclaimer at the top stating what's actually necessary.

In my book? No, they don't. But they definitely have the right to find their own path to wellness however they see fit.

In other words: professionals handle actual medical care, while whatever "treatment" advice is being tossed around on an internet forum isn't medical care.

Bottom line: let's just rename that PDF to something like "Alternative Health" or whatever.

Whatever works—I'm all for it. We might as well call it witchcraft or headstands for all the good it does, as long as we keep this thread following the site rules.

And for that, we need a moderator to step up.

Maybe we should just pin this thread to the top, or better yet, start a whole new one that gives people a serious heads-up about how unreliable alternative medicine can be. That way, people can just jump in and joke about trying to cure cancer with jelly donuts or something!

Look, some things work and some don't (I think the most famous example we have right now is using medical cannabis for MS). When I talked about "results," I meant outcomes that are clearly observable and proven, even if they come from methods that haven't been officially adopted by the medical establishment yet. To be more specific, let's say there's an "xy method" that is still being studied for potential side effects or safety concerns. Even so, based on the data we have so far, its success rate in treating certain conditions is actually higher than the current standard of care. It hasn't been officially sanctioned or integrated into mainstream medicine just yet, but it’s being quietly used because the results are simply too good to ignore. Once—and if—it gets fully validated, it'll become part of official medicine. That’s really all I was getting at! 👍

Seriously, you took that one little snippet of mine and pulled it completely out of context from my original post (just like you did with everything else!). He really just completely ignored the whole cause-and-effect thing in his posts! It’s like he's totally disconnected from how one thing leads to another.Honestly, you absolutely deserve a red card for that one—though, let’s be real, about 99% of your posts on this thread probably deserve one too. If we were being honest, you should probably just get a permanent ban from this discussion altogether!

Honestly, I feel a little embarrassed using this kind of tone here. This thread deals with such heavy, serious illnesses, and I know most of you have much more pressing, meaningful questions than what we usually see on other parts of the forum. Because of that, I really think we need a moderator to step in and help keep things appropriate so we don't lose sight of how important these discussions actually are.

I have to say the same thing as my colleague here—it is honestly mind-blowing how some people just show up in a space like this specifically to stir the pot and cause chaos. It’s actually pretty incredible to witness...

On the other hand, I’m actually kind of glad you pulled that quote from my earlier post! Honestly, maybe this will nudge the admins to take a closer look at what’s really going on in this thread. It would be great if they could identify who is actually stirring the pot, causing drama, and tearing the discussion apart—especially when there are plenty of us here who have zero interest in bickering and just want to focus on the actual topic. Personally, whenever I feel the urge to get into a heated debate, I head over to the political boards. At least there, the moderators enforce strict rules, and I know if I cross the line, I’ll get banned immediately. That kind of structure is exactly what the alternative medicine community needs right now. If we had that, so many problems would vanish overnight. The shouting matches would stop, and we could finally get back to what matters: sharing knowledge, swapping personal experiences, and working through the flaws in certain therapies to improve them. If we could actually focus on progress instead of fighting, we might truly be able to help someone battling a serious illness when conventional medicine has already given up on them. That’s the goal, isn't it?

So, how exactly are we supposed to read posts from the people on the "ignore list," huh? Haha! 👍😁😁
Look, look, maybe you’ll eventually realize that all this constant nitpicking isn't helping anyone! And I can guarantee you haven't even bothered to read the start of this discussion, let alone... So, I was looking back at yesterday's thread about cancer treatment, and honestly? We haven't changed a single post. Not one! Unless, of course, you decide to go undercover and post under a fake handle, which—let's be real—is actually against the rules here.Look, I’m going to be blunt here: that whole morbid obsession with picking apart someone's tragedy is just wrong. I’ll say it straight—it’s the behavior of absolute bullies to mock or belittle a woman who is openly sharing her own battle with cancer. There isn't a single sane, rational reason to doubt her experience when she's laying out what she's going through, yet people still choose to swoop in with condescending, disgusting comments. Even worse is when people start throwing around insults without even bothering to read the actual post, or worse, tossing around threats of lawsuits and legal harassment. Honestly, acting like that is completely unacceptable, no matter what topic we're discussing on this forum. It's just classless.
Honestly, I have to point out how some people here act like "experts" just because they feel like it—usually because they’re either totally clueless or just trying to hawk their own products. It takes about ten seconds of Googling to realize half these people are nothing more than scammers and frauds. Then you have this whole crowd trying to band together specifically to take aim at science and modern medicine, calling doctors everything from murderers and poisoners to incompetent villains. It really makes you wonder what the actual goal is for this entire group of posters. Seriously, why are we even here?
Look, it’s not even about whether eating raw frogs actually cures stomach cancer. That's not the point! The real issue here is understanding *why* it would work, the actual mechanism behind it, and if—assuming it worked for Ruhan over in Brahmapur—it would actually work for someone like Steve from a small town in Ohio. But honestly, almost nobody asks those kinds of questions around here. And the second you try to dig deeper, people start attacking you for questioning something just because it falls under "alternative medicine." Give me a break! It feels like as soon as something is labeled "alternative," everyone stops asking questions entirely, yet we're expected to accept any result as absolute truth, even if there’s only one single case ever reported. That's just not how science works!
Did Justin Gray81 just give us a perfect example of how this should work? He made a claim about using carrots for medical treatment, right? And did he actually go out and verify it? Yep! Was his initial story totally accurate? Not quite. But were there elements in there tied to alternative medicine that made it worth looking into? Absolutely! And was his final take, after doing the actual research, different from where he started? You bet it was!
Honestly, he provided a rare moment of someone actually being open-minded. If everyone approached things with that kind of integrity, we wouldn't have such nasty arguments all the time.

And as for moderation... oh man, people have been calling for it for months now. Nobody is even responding to posts or emails anymore. If you kept nitpicking every little thing on any topic, you'd end up gray-listed in no time—you know that better than anyone. I’ve reported plenty of stuff following the advice I got from Nice—like when someone starts swearing at people's families or when they spam cartoon clips in a thread just because they think it's funny—but nothing happens. It feels like if I don't start being rude myself, nobody listens, because apparently, that's the only language some people understand.
So, after everything, I just have to say: seeing your "ignore list" actually makes me feel proud. The people on there are the ones I respect way more because of their stances and the discussions they lead, compared to those who pretend to be these big-hearted altruists in the threads while holding views I can't stand. They're the real deal.

I accidentally stumbled into the alternative medicine section, and the topic of "cancer treatment" immediately jumped out at me—because, obviously, you wouldn't expect to see something like that permitted on a public forum with this much traffic. My intention was to find some rational discussion regarding alternative health research—you know, those niche fields that have yielded interesting preliminary results but still suffer from small sample sizes or methodological gaps. But what I actually found there? Unbelievable. You have people earnestly citing charlatans like Breuss and "Dr." Glidden (do yourselves a favor and Google them; their pseudo-scientific theories on the human body and healing make religious dogma look modest), all while users on this very forum are handing out advice that is genuinely life-threatening. To any doctor or scientist, it’s painfully obvious that the people posting here haven't even grasped the basics of first-semester biology or chemistry, let alone anything remotely related to actual medicine or the scientific method.

I’m not entirely sure how the laws work here in the States, but it wouldn't surprise me if a major site like Reddit or even a local community board could run into serious legal trouble for providing an unregulated platform to these scammers without any oversight or the long-overdue intervention they clearly need.

Glad this thread finally opened up, but honestly? So far, instead of actually fixing anything, we’ve just moved the mess from one corner to another. Now we’re stuck with two identical, headache-inducing threads instead of one. Don't get me wrong—I'm not pointing fingers at you, Justin Gray81.

I’m only going to chime in on this because I see some of you have turned alternative medicine into a straight-up fetish.

Look, if we’re talking about legal issues here, the blame lands squarely on whoever actually set this whole platform up in the first place. It’s not rocket science—right under the PDF titles, it explicitly states that everything listed falls under alternative medicine. Short and sweet. So, if anyone thinks there's actual criminal activity going on here, save your breath and take it up with the forum owner.

Look, here’s the deal: the law doesn't actually specify the exact method being used. So, if you've got a doctor prescribing some kind of alternative medicine, and then some random "Person A" steps in to tell the patient to ditch that and go straight for chemo instead? Yeah, that’s technically practicing medicine without a license too. It's pretty simple once you get it. All those guys on here preaching about conventional treatments—if they don't actually have the medical degrees to back it up, they're basically just playing doctor.

Thirdly—and this part is huge. For those who aren't legal buffs, just committing an act isn't enough to make it a crime. You don't just need the action and the illegality; you actually need "guilt" or criminal intent. So, let's look at whether guilt even exists here. Think of it like this: if someone tries to take you out and you defend yourself, you aren't going to jail for murder. That’s self-defense, plain and simple. No guilt, no crime.

First off, take a look at the subheader under that "Health" PDF file. It claims health is "the most important thing in the world." Honestly? Hard to argue with that. We can all agree on one thing: it’s the absolute priority. At the end of the day, regardless of whether you have a PhD or zero medical training, you’re a biological being. You want the best possible health for yourself and your family, and you’re going to do whatever it takes to get there. Period.

Now, let’s talk about cancer—you know, that disease everyone's fighting over in this heated debate. Look, you gotta consider the fact that people label this a "heavy" disease. Seriously, ask yourself why it even gets that reputation. Is it because it’s an easy fix? Or is it because the success rate for actual recovery is basically a tiny fraction of people? I think I'm making myself pretty clear here. If people were actually bouncing back after chemo, nobody would even bother calling cancer such a heavy diagnosis. It’s simple logic. Look at a crooked tooth—nobody calls that a major physical deformity, right? That’s because modern dentistry actually fixes the problem. We just don't see that kind of success rate with malignant diseases. If anyone has an issue with me calling it like I see it, honestly, that’s their problem, not mine.

Alright, let's get to the meat of the matter. Looking at everything that’s been said here, I honestly don't see anything wrong with people trying to find an alternative medicine approach. If you can find something that actually works better than the standard stuff—not just treating the illness, but actually preventing it in the first place—why wouldn't you? Especially when you realize the doctors themselves aren't exactly hitting home runs every single time. They’re out here acting like they’ve got a crystal ball, making all these life expectancy predictions like they’re some kind of fortune tellers. People finally realize they’ve got nothing left to lose. Look, some people just refuse to get it. Nobody decides to mess around with alternative medicine out of pure boredom or because they skimmed some random article on CNN. They aren't going to risk their own lives—or anyone else's—just because they felt like being difficult one day. It’s not that simple. If only people realized how much standard medicine actually pulls through sometimes!

I don't see any evidence of wrongdoing here, let alone an actual crime.

I think you posted this in the wrong spot—this is a complaint and an appeal to the subforum moderators, not a debate thread about whether something is true or not...

As for Bold—just so you know, back in the late '70s, Breuss's methods were actually being used by certain doctors in Germany before the practice was suddenly shut down because Breuss ended up in court... What's less known is that all the charges against him were dropped (nobody officially publicized it, but everyone was talking when the trial started) even though Big Pharma teamed up with the media—acting through the state prosecutor, of course—to go after him. You want to know how the charges were tossed? Because his patients showed up in court—people he actually saved, one by one. They showed their diagnoses from before the therapy and then their recovery. I don't even need to mention that most of them were considered terminal by medical standards; basically, conventional medicine had given up on them...

There you go, since you love your "facts." And to wrap it up, here’s a 2015 study that finally broke a decade-long taboo by testing the Breuss doctrine in combination with minimal doses of chemotherapy... naturally, the results are promising. Now we just have to wait for someone to be brave enough to run controlled trials without the chemo involved...

Honestly, even I was surprised by this study—I literally just found out about it yesterday through a female forum member. I was convinced I wouldn't see a study like this in my lifetime.

Here's the link, go do your homework:

http://www.nobleresearch.org/Content...994.2015-5.pdf

Again, you picked the wrong thread and brought up an opinion that has nothing to do with the topic—the issue here is moderation.

I’m honestly so glad this thread finally popped up because spending time on this sub about alternative medicine—especially when we're talking about cancer treatment—has become totally unbearable. The main culprit here is Ethan Brooks59, who basically spends almost every single post insulting the community in the nastiest ways possible. He’s shown nothing but pure hatred toward everyone, even going so far as to tell the people he hates that he hopes they all get cancer as soon as possible... It’s seriously disgusting and unsettling to read, and what’s worse is that it's actually being allowed to happen. I don't know by what right Ethan Brooks59 gets to constantly tear people down, calling users idiots, morons, losers, jerks, morons, dummies, cattle, or just straight-up losers and creeps... and he does it in nearly every single post. One of the Forumasici even mentioned he made some incredibly vulgar, sexualized comments that were just plain gross... it's the kind of garbage that makes you lose interest in life and this whole site.
I have never heard such vile insults in my entire life, and I truly don't understand why he isn't being shut down. Nobody has even thrown a single insult back at him. On any decent American forum, someone acting like this would be hit with a permanent ban immediately. That’s why I completely agree that this section needs a moderator ASAP so this toxic, twisted behavior finally stops, and Ethan Brooks59 gets strictly punished for all the damage he's done to this site and to the community.

Yeah, my bad. I messed up.

Regarding Bold—I should probably point out that back in the late '70s, Breuss's method was already being practiced by certain doctors in Germany before the whole thing was abruptly shut down because Breuss ended up in court.... What isn't widely known, however, is that all the charges against Breuss were dismissed (it wasn't some major news release, but everyone was talking about it when the trial started) despite the fact that Big Pharma teamed up with the media—essentially acting through the state prosecutor—to go after him. And do you know how those charges were tossed? They were dismissed because his patients showed up in court—the very people he saved—one by one, presenting their diagnoses before therapy and their recovery afterward. I hardly need to mention that many of them would have been considered terminal by medical standards; essentially, mainstream medicine had given up on them...

Oh, really? 😁 Like the guy who was diagnosed with prostate cancer at age 63 (back in 2001)—a condition affecting over 50% of men his age—who then proceeded to sell Breuss's books after trying juice therapy?😁

There you go, since you're such a fan of "facts."

She said... she claimed... and then, with a completely straight face, "facts." 😁

Look, German institutions can be incredibly lenient for historical reasons, and just because a lawsuit fails doesn't mean the defendant's stance or his "method" was ever validated. Years ago, some proponent of alternative medicine publicly declared that there was still no proof of the existence of the measles virus, even offering to pay someone $100,000 if they could show him evidence. A microbiologist presented the proof, leading to a court case where the judges, naturally, confirmed the microbiologist was right—but the defendant wasn't ordered to pay due to technicalities. Of course, that individual had no shame about advertising it as a win for himself, claiming "the court confirmed there is no evidence." 😁

Do you have any serious sources detailing what the actual lawsuit was about, which specific documented cases involve patients he supposedly "saved" with juices 😁, or the actual reasoning behind the court's decision?

- and finally, here is a 2015 study that tested Breuss's doctrine in combination with minimal doses of chemotherapy after decades of being taboo.... and of course, the results are promising....

A "study," you say? This paper hasn't been cited once in three years—well, maybe three times, if you count the author themselves—yet it supposedly contains such sensational content. And the quality of the journal? It’s right up there with those publications used to push agendas for promoted Republicans. 😁

Look, the idea of a diet for a few days prior to chemotherapy isn't exactly groundbreaking or revolutionary; it's based on the biological fact that certain healthy cells reduce their metabolic rate during periods of nutrient deprivation to increase the organism's overall chances of survival. Since tumor cells lack this specific mechanism, they end up consuming more of the cytotoxic drugs while the healthy cells sit tight—which doesn't necessarily boost the efficacy of the chemo itself, but it does improve the damage-to-benefit ratio regarding healthy tissue (that is, of course, a very superficial explanation, given that there isn't just one single type of tumor and there are various types of cytostatics, but I suppose for someone who subscribes to Breuss, it might be considered too detailed). Some studies haven't confirmed this effect, but certain oncologists—in Germany, for instance—have had positive experiences using it as a complementary therapy, so larger studies are being conducted to see whether or not a significant effect can be measured against control groups (just so we don't end up relying on mere hearsay 😁). As for how much this has to do with Breuss's method? About as much as holy water has to do with an energy drink.

Now we just have to wait for the time when someone dares to conduct this under controlled conditions without the use of cytostatics....

It just keeps getting better and better 😁

Look, if someone actually intends to try this without chemotherapy, then they haven't grasped the concept at all—it's like trying to build an electric plane but leaving out the wings. 😁

And as for this perpetual refrain from you people—that chemotherapy doesn't cure severely ill patients—do you honestly think oncologists don't know that? I mean, millions of them worldwide spend ten hours a day dealing with this, and you believe they are all collectively conspiring to hide information just so they can squeeze out more profit? You can find information on any official government health resource—take the German Cancer Information Service, for example—stating that chemotherapy rarely "cures" an advanced-stage tumor in the sense of total eradication; rather, it most often serves to halt or slow growth, or to destroy any remaining traces of a primary tumor after surgery. Chemotherapy is most effective either immediately before or after surgical intervention, provided the discovery is early enough to destroy potential tumor cells that have already migrated from the primary site, thereby preventing metastases (which, at that stage, obviously cannot be diagnosed because they simply aren't visible yet on a CT, MRI, or ultrasound). But again, that depends entirely on the type of cancer, doesn't it? There is no such thing as a singular disease called "cancer." With breast cancer, for example, the decision-making process often hinges on the patient's age or the aggressiveness of the malignancy.

But in that situation, advising a patient to run away from their oncologist or from mainstream medicine is nothing short of criminal. That is why this topic needs to be kept under wraps, and "alternative medicine"—when it is tolerated at all—should really be renamed "complementary." If you ask me, it should be renamed "Middle Ages medicine, voodoo, and hocus pocus."

As for the pharmaceutical industry—yes, it certainly possesses some mafia-like structures. For instance, only one in six new drugs actually demonstrates scientifically proven efficacy that is superior to existing medications for the same purpose (most of these are just so-called "lifestyle pills" targeting things like libido and other trivialities). Now, don't go drawing the conclusion from that fact that several million people—or let's say hundreds of thousands of researchers at universities, institutes, and within the pharma industry itself—are hiding something from us so effectively that even the most powerful people, billionaires, and influential politicians, along with their own children, die of cancer. That would be quite a formidable conspiracy, wouldn't it?

There is still one thing I simply cannot wrap my head around. Have you actually sat down and read a single page of Breuss’s books—or even just his basic maxims? Are you truly aware of how he describes bodily processes, and more importantly, how his followers continue to parrot those exact descriptions today? Honestly, where is the maturity? At this point, claiming aliens built the pyramids sounds more "rational" than what you're doing. Do you realize how much you diminish your own intellectual standing whenever you invoke names like Breuss or Glidden? Seriously, why doesn't someone just pack up and move to a tropical island to run a legitimate study? Take 200 patients—all between 50 and 60 years old, all facing the same type of cancer at a similar stage (and there are plenty of people willing to participate)—and split them up. Let 100 follow Group A, using Breuss's juice protocols, and let 100 follow Group B, utilizing standard medical practice. If they could demonstrate that after five or ten years, the survival rate in Group A is significantly higher than in Group B—with a p-value of at least < 0.05—they wouldn't need to hide. They wouldn't even have to flee; the patients—or rather, the victims—would gladly keep their "treatment" locations a secret if it meant following the trend. They would be celebrated more widely than Newton, Fleming, Koch, or even Einstein. But no—it’s always some obscure book, some hearsay from an old lady, or a handful of patients from 1970s court cases who supposedly "were saved by everything."

If an adult can be this incredibly naive, I really don't know what to tell you.
