Hamilton is a total washout just like both Haas cars. Alonso was absolutely killing it, Ferrari looks really solid, and Verstappen is basically invisible out there.

Fernando Alonso looks better in his debut race with Renault than he did during the entirety of last season; he’s already matched his best career finishing position.

Honda is stuck at the back again.

Hamilton takes the win.

Does the loss sting? Good. Let it hurt. Sebastian Vettel earned his celebration today, so why not let yourself be consumed by bitterness and frustration instead? Ferrari beat both Mercedes and the FIA today—what a magnificent day for the sport. 🙏

Lewis managed to pull himself together and lend a hand after all.

He is absolutely at fault, though. After Kimi's and Hamilton's pit stops, he was doing some miraculous work on those old tires. It was a deserved win, aided by a bit of luck of course, and he managed to hold off Hamilton in the end. Bravo Seb!!

Bottas, what on earth are you talking about...

I’d tell you to stick to football, but you're just as much of a genius over there.

Anyway, does anyone have the math on that lap? What actually went down there?

And can someone explain why Romain Grosjean parked his car right where he did? Also, why did we see a VSC first and then a full SC?

He pulled over because they couldn't get the wheel tightened properly; the crew was struggling to handle the car, so they had to call in the heavy machinery, and just like that—boom—we've got an SC.

Were you even watching the race again?

As if... Lewis Hamilton is over here acting like he’s lost a limb—and Vettel with that hair? What even is that? Kimi couldn't care less about any of this drama... honestly, I'm done watching.

Max Verstappen was definitely visible enough; he pulled off a masterclass spin in Sector 1. A perfect ten for the pirouette.🙂

It’s honestly wild watching Sebastian Vettel struggle like this in a car that's clearly outclassed. After all the hype surrounding what I'd call the most overrated driver of our era—especially when you consider he's been coasting in the most dominant machine in history—seeing him fight for scraps in a much slower, weaker car is quite the reality check...

Why on earth would you think you have any authority to lecture me, particularly at this moment? Especially now that Mercedes and that dark-hearted zealot have actually lost a race to the third fastest car on the grid.

How wonderful it is to hear that beautiful blend of Italian and German anthems; do try to enjoy the music, you little genius.

Kimi's just an old drunk who doesn't care about trends and probably hasn't had a decent haircut in years.
Nonsense.

I’m sure Sergio and Toto had this all worked out behind closed doors. It’s clearly a calculated move just to keep people tuning in to this absolute tragedy we call motorsport. If they didn't rig the drama, it would just be Mercedes winning everything and nothing left to watch.

That whole situation regarding the Virtual Safety Car circle—well, explaining that is actually a bit more complicated than it looks at first glance. It all really comes down to exactly where you catch the VSC deployment. Besides, I think Lujo might have drifted off for a second there, but that’s only half the story; you'll see much clearer explanations popping up on all the top-tier F1 news sites by tomorrow.😁

Pure sadness in the United States and Germany; truly the move of the day. It seems Niki Lauda and Toto Wolff have been left quite dampened, much like the majority of the Lewis Hamilton fans scattered throughout this thread.

It kind of looks like luck decided to give Vettel a taste of last year's 'favors' toward Mercedes-Benz—if I remember right, there were a few races where the VSC really played into the kitty's hands while Ferrari just got left in the dust

It looks like Mercedes-Benz hasn't quite realized yet that you can never, ever count an Italian team out
Go Ferrari
