Man, what a bummer, I was really banking on Will Buxton being the guy interviewing everyone on the podium all season long

I'm thinking that once they roll out the new rules for the Virtual Safety Car, everyone is going to be heading straight to the pits... which basically means Vettel's win won't even count under the new regulations

Anthony Baker84 said:It certainly feels like luck has decided to hand Sebastian Vettel a taste of last year's "favoritism" toward Mercedes-Benz. If my memory serves me right, there were a handful of races where the VSC really played into the hands of the kitty, while leaving Ferrari completely out in the cold.

Yeah, looks like the tables have turned just a little bit.

Did Vettel lose some kind of bet where he had to rock that ridiculous barber shop haircut?

Brian Campbell36 said:It’s pure sadness over in the United States and Germany. This was the move of the day; seeing Niki Lauda and Toto Wolff looking just as miserable as most of the Lewis Hamilton fans on this thread...

I'm just following your logic and how you see things, nothing more...

If you truly believe you can play God on this forum by dictating how others should think or act, one might conclude you possess an affinity for authoritarian regimes.

I refuse to waste any more energy debating your every word; I am going to go enjoy my day instead of dwelling on a temperament currently fueled by anger and frustration simply because Vettel took the top spot.

Gary Palmer8 said:we're basically expecting everyone to pit during a VSC now... so I guess Vettel's win would be illegal once they roll out those new rules

man, you're kind of losing the plot here, aren't you?

The race was only interesting in terms of the final standings. I don't see a different outcome from last year regarding Mercedes-Benz, Verizon, or RBA.

Best of the rest for Renault.

It is... Charles Leclerc, finishing in the points. It's a shame he's stuck in a Sauber—which is a complete disaster—but at least he's gaining experience. Williams is a catastrophe. Alonso got the result he deserves for the season.

He's German, after all; at least he isn't sporting those ridiculous braids.

Perhaps you should focus your attention on following Ferrari instead; you aren't my private investigator or some undercover agent sent here to dissect my thought process. It truly is remarkable what kind of characters one encounters on this thread. 🤦

I’m just asking a perfectly logical question—why did they call for the spark intervention right there?
The wheel looked totally secure to me. Looking back at the footage, it honestly feels like they could have let him drive a bit further down the track before pulling him out of the race.

What a massive drop-off we’re seeing from Force India, and man, Williams is looking even worse. I really hope Force India can find their way back to the front, but honestly? I don't feel too bad for Williams. Let those guys just keep playing around with "racing drivers" who basically just bought their seats in the team...

Anthony Baker84 said:you seem a little lost here—what are you even talking about?

I don't think they'll actually ban it, but honestly, they probably won't allow this much longer—otherwise, everyone will just be diving into the pits constantly to make up time

Watching Vettel win when they're actually at the top and fighting hard is way more satisfying than just seeing him cruise in some dominant Mercedes-Benz car...
I'd much rather watch today's race and be happy if Ferrari beats Lewis Hamilton on track than see them get absolutely crushed by Mercedes-Benz in qualifying like yesterday, where they were just lined up one after another...

Better safe than sorry—might as well grab two wins while we can.😍

Love it!🙂

Btw Charles Leclerc explained the reason for the win...

Wouldn't you have bet money with Lewis Hamilton on who has the worse hair?

And by all accounts, he totally won that one. 🤣

Drew Bennett68 said:He pulled over because they didn't set his wheel correctly—the crew was struggling to sort out the car, so they had to call in the heavy machinery, and just like that, we have a SC.

Look, I know there was an issue with the wheel, but I don't quite get why he had to park it right there. Couldn't he have just limped it a little further down the track? It wasn't like the wheel actually fell off or was about to fly away mid-corner.

As for the VSC/SC situation—it seemed pretty obvious from the jump that a full SC would be needed on track; honestly, I was actually surprised they even tried a VSC first.

And I'm still sitting here trying to wrap my head around the math regarding that lap under VSC—how on earth did Sebastian Vettel manage to pull ahead of Lewis Hamilton when he had something like a 10-second lead? 🤔
