8. If a competitor fails to submit a new prediction or misses the established deadline, their "Joker" prediction will be triggered automatically. To be clear: players are required to submit a fresh prediction for every single race. However, everyone is granted three "Jokers" per season. These act as an automatic safety net; if you miss a submission, one of your Jokers kicks in, and your most recent official prediction will be used for that race. Once you have exhausted all three "Jokers," no further points will be awarded for missed entries. At that stage, if you actually want to stay in the running, you'll have to start submitting new predictions again to remain competitive.
If a competitor fails to submit a new prediction for two consecutive races, their teammate has the authority to kick them out of the team if they choose to do so. In that scenario, the individual will continue the championship on their own, unless they explicitly state otherwise.
9. To keep things fair and orderly, there is a very specific protocol regarding how predictions are submitted. A participant is only permitted to post their picks using the exact username they used to register for the competition—unless, of course, an administrator has stepped in to modify it. Furthermore, if a participant finds themselves banned, they are effectively barred from participating in any round that occurs while the ban is active. This rule applies to anyone whose ban extends at least until the submission deadline for the current round. However, there is one logical exception: if a user managed to submit a fresh prediction before the ban was actually implemented, that entry will still be honored and counted, regardless of their current status. Additionally, if a banned participant holds any unused "joker predictions," and they fail to submit a standard prediction for the round in which they are banned, their "joker prediction" will be applied automatically, just as it would be for any other competitor. It’s about maintaining the integrity of the game while ensuring the rules remain consistent for everyone.
10. In this league, competitors have total freedom to jump from one team to another whenever they please. However, you need to understand how the scoring works during a transfer: when a player moves, they don't take their previous team's cumulative points with them—those stay with the old squad. The individual points the competitor earned personally, however, remain tied to them. This same rule applies to anyone who gets knocked out of the competition. Essentially, a team's score starts fresh from the moment a new roster is formed. Just a heads-up: changing your team's name won't affect your standing or point totals. As for branding, teams are allowed two official name changes during the season, but before the season kicks off, you can change your name as many times as you want.
11. Let’s get some ground rules straight regarding how scoring works, because I want to avoid any unnecessary headaches later. First off, if you pick a driver who doesn't actually show up on the official FIA entry list for a specific race, you aren't getting any points for them. Period. It doesn't matter how much you liked them; if they aren't on the grid, they don't count toward your score. Similarly, if you leave a driver out of your ranking, you won't receive points for them—I don't care how "obvious" or "logical" it seems that you missed a certain name; if they aren't on your list, they don't exist for scoring purposes. Your points are calculated strictly based on the positions you assign to each driver. If you make a typo and write down the wrong number, that is on you; we will process your ranking exactly as you wrote it, even if it's an error. Furthermore, if you fail to provide a position for a driver, those points simply won't be tallied. There is also a strict rule against repetition: if you list the same position or the same driver more than once, you won't receive points for any of those entries. Think of it like a flawed contract—if the terms are broken, the whole clause is void. Additionally, if you overstuff your list by naming more drivers than would normally start a race under standard conditions, you won't earn any extra points for those surplus names. Finally, for those drivers where you haven't specified a position, they will be treated as NOP (No Points). However, if you submit your entire ranking without providing any position numbers at all, we will treat that as a ranking without any NOPs. Stick to the format, follow the logic, and let's keep this organized.
12. Copying someone else's prediction is strictly prohibited. This rule is only reviewed and enforced if a participant files an official complaint, and that review will only take place once the deadline for posting predictions on this thread has passed. For clarity, "copying" is defined as posting more than 75% of the drivers—including all groups, rounded up to the nearest whole number—in the exact same positions as another prediction already submitted for that specific race. Please note that older predictions used as jokers do not count toward this calculation. If you are caught copying a prediction, your entry will be disqualified and marked as invalid.
13. The standings for this competition are calculated strictly based on the official results released by the FIA immediately following the conclusion of the race (the preliminary order). Any subsequent corrections or adjustments made by the FIA are not taken into account. For the purposes of calculating No Points (NOP), any driver listed on the official FIA entry list who fails to secure a scoring position will be counted, regardless of whether their status is marked as DNF, NC, or Retired. Furthermore, per FIA regulations, a driver is considered to have retired if they complete less than 90% of the race distance. As for the length of the race itself, that is determined solely by the FIA; they decide how many laps are run through either their standard procedure or via an extraordinary ruling.
Drivers who fail to qualify during the qualifying sessions and therefore won't be participating in the race will only be calculated as NOP if they were officially included on the FIA entry list.
14. Should any controversial situation arise during the competition that isn't explicitly covered by the specific points in these Regulations, the Race Director will make the final call. They are expected to use common sense and uphold the fundamental principle of fair play. These Regulations go into effect upon being posted in the official Championship thread dedicated to rules and race results; however, they can be modified via special amendments if—and only if—it becomes clear later in the season that such changes are absolutely necessary for the smooth operation of the competition.
15. The Race Director can be replaced at any point during the season if a majority of the competitors vote for a new director who is willing to accept the position. Similarly, disputed rules can be amended, but under no circumstances will any changes be applied retroactively.
