Mortal Engines (2018)

Every time I see Robert Sheehan popping up in some YA fantasy flick, I just know the movie's gonna be a total dud.

It’s actually a pretty solid movie. Honestly, it might be one of the better sci-fi flicks we've seen come out lately—especially since there isn't much else worth watching in the genre right now, this one is a winner.

I'd say it's a decent 6.5/10 for me too, I guess.

I mean, I could probably get into this... but you guys are overthinking things way too much 😁 as if we’re getting a hundred blockbuster movies dropped on us every month to just pick and choose from

The plot actually reminds me a bit of the invented world from those Christopher PRISTA books

It’s just a giant mashup of Terminator, Flash Gordon, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, Hunger Games... you name it, they threw it in there 😁

The whole concept of a moving city is pretty cool, I guess. If you can just turn your brain off completely, it’s a fun enough ride.

In my opinion, the biggest mistake was giving the lead actress a facial scar. For a flick like this, she really should have been much more conventionally attractive...

Pretty entertaining and fun to watch, I'd give it a solid 7/10...

Every time I see these gorgeous, smiling people everywhere... especially given the current state of the economy...
it feels like total wishful thinking to me—but hey, I guess we'll see how things play out.
I spent about 20 minutes watching some steampunk stuff—what's the term again?—and honestly, I wasn't even much of an animation fan, but there you go...
