What did you guys get up to today? Quick daily recap

I don't think there's a specific topic here, so here we go.😬

Feel free to vent about what you've had to deal with lately—whether it’s some absolute nonsense or something actually decent.🙂

I'm feeling a bit inspired by this thread because I spend way too much time scrolling through Instagram and Facebook seeing everyone's "perfect" lives. Meanwhile, my reality involves fixing water heaters, deep-cleaning the apartment, dealing with broken washing machines, paying endless bills, and running errands at the dry cleaners in my spare time.☕

I'm looking forward to some honest stories.🙂

Spent some time fixing the TV today. ☕

I’m still stuck at work, so I probably won't make it back until around 8 PM. It's way too easy to get distracted by selfies and Instagram, I guess, but hey, someone’s gotta keep this whole crazy circus running.

I am planning to head out for lunch now—though I suppose I will stay here and hang out on the forums until about 5:00 PM. After that, I’ll probably hit the gym, come back home to catch a movie, and then finally call it a night...

Tomorrow looks to be pretty much the same thing...

I grab a cup of coffee—black, strong, no sugar—just how a real man takes it. Then I toss some old scrap metal into the recycling bin, swing by the print shop to pick up a photo album for my lady, and head out to grab some pine. After that, it’s off to the butcher for some pork roast, beef for stew, homemade sausages, and mixed cheese. Now I’m back home, sipping more coffee while I get the cabbage rolls heating up and boil some potatoes. By 2:00 PM, I'm done. That's the day.

Woke up at 9:00 AM with my eyes still feeling glued shut. 🙂 Decided against the contacts and just threw my glasses on instead. I seriously hate wearing glasses 🙂 I’m constantly peering over the frames, which just makes everything blurry. 🙂

The rest of the morning was just the usual grind: cook, clean, rush off to work. 🤣

Not quite yet. I'm boiling cabbage right now and the smell is everywhere; I'll probably need to hang them up sometime this evening. 🙂

got it all set up and ready to go
only to realize the IT guy from the service company never actually showed up, so there's zero internet
called the guy back
and absolutely lost my mind on him, just went off on him big time

So my boss calls me the other day, right? Tells me I gotta be there at the crack of dawn tomorrow because apparently everything else is "all set." Like, okay, thanks for the heads up... she says the furniture, the armchairs, even those big decorative planters are all sorted. Honestly, I thought I had my part done, just waiting to get on site and knock it out. But nope. Now I have to head back in tomorrow to finish up the network wiring and the IP phone setup, which pushes the whole schedule back a day. Just my luck, right? Right before Christmas, when everyone is already losing their minds and everything is going sideways everywhere.

I totally get you. I was telling my husband about my day... I gathered the laundry from every room, including the upstairs and downstairs bathrooms, hauled it all to the laundry room, sorted it, picked out the delicate detergent, set the timer, and started the machine. Just as I was getting to the good part, he hits me with: "Did you just sweep the laundry into the washer with a broom?" Honestly, the nerve. Don't interrupt me mid-task; I lost my train of thought completely. Unbelievable. ☕
