The UFC schedule just keeps on rolling, and this weekend we’re heading over to Madison Square Garden | New York City. I honestly barely even finished watching the last event before this one popped up on the calendar, but I guess new fights are always right around the corner.

I haven't really had a chance to sit down and dive deep into the full card yet, but just looking at it from a distance, that matchup between Matthews and Bojan seems pretty interesting to me. It is a bit of a bummer that they pulled the hunta from the lineup, though, because if you follow the drama, you probably already know the deal about how Werdum ended up stepping in to replace him instead.

I don't know, I guess Brooks just seems like he's totally out of it. Such a shame, really.

I’m honestly not sure if Werdum is going to get a shot at Stipa. I mean, he didn't exactly have a bad showing, but if the Overeem - Francis fight ends in a knockout... I feel like whoever comes out on top is going straight to the front of the line for a title shot (or maybe even Cain if he ever actually makes a comeback 😬). Personally though, I’d love to see Werdum get that opportunity.

That flying knee from Tai Tuivas was 🙏

So, I finally sat down to watch this whole event, and honestly? I can't say I was exactly blown away. 🤷 I wouldn't go so far as to call it "solid," but I guess it definitely earned its spot in the record books for being an absolute marathon, clocking in at over three hours.

If there was one bright spot worth mentioning, it had to be the Camach vs. Damien fight—especially that final minute where things got intense. 🙏 I mean, Tuivas really needs to take some notes there, even if I'm not usually one to root for those kinds of "unpolished" fighters. But man, that flying knee he threw? That was just straight-up brutal.

Lentz actually caught me off guard with that guillotine, and Benoit’s head kick was pretty devastating too. As for Werdum, he played it much more tactically, which probably made sense given he stepped in on such short notice. Still, I can't help but feel like whoever comes out on top against Alistair-Nganou is going to get a shot at Miočić.
