If they don't want kids, they should just go get a vasectomy. ☕
rapidtrucker78 said:I really don't care for this kind of gendered reasoning.😳

I think it's pretty silly to say girls specifically need their dad's attention, or vice versa.😳

Every kid, regardless of whether they're a boy or a girl, needs love from both their mother and father equally.😳

+1 😳

As for those two, there’s nothing worse than exes fighting with a child caught in the middle. ☕

Even if he wanted to later on, I wouldn't let him see her anyway.🙂
What's even the point of him being around🤷if he doesn't actually want to see her?🤷
Look, it's fine if he can't be a big part of her growing up. I know a guy who got married and was a father to a little girl, but he made sure to visit her every chance he got.🤷

I just can't wrap my head around my own father not wanting to see me.😕

Look, I might sound harsh here—but maybe it’s actually better for a woman to see just how much of a jerk some guys can be from an early age.
Builds some serious character.

Drew Ross2 said:Sure, you need love from both parents, but there's something special about that bond between a girl and her father. Having his approval and support while growing up makes a massive difference in how successful she becomes later in life.
I was just looking over some research. ☕

Send me the links to those studies. 😳
Something tells me they’re total bullshit. 😳

What is she even going to end up with at this rate?🤷If he doesn't want to see her—well, that’s his call, I guess.🤷
Look, I get it—he might not be able to play a hands-on role in raising her. I know of a case where a married man was actually the father of a little girl, yet he still made sure to see her whenever the opportunity arose.🤷
I can't quite wrap my head around the idea—it’s hard to process, really—that my own father wouldn't even want to see me.😕

You don't really have much of a choice here—a child needs both a father and a mother. If the other parent happens to change their mind, maybe we should give that kid a chance to actually have a father in their life.

I was actually feeling a little bummed out today because I ran into Lana Radeljak. Even though she’s totally fine legally now, I don't know... physically, she just seems a bit more underwhelming than before, I guess.

Honestly, if I were in this situation, there wouldn't even be anything to second-guess.🙂

An American mother who leaves her child has a certain window of time to change her mind—a reasonable timeframe—before the state steps in and takes custody.
A father like that isn't needed by anyone. It's better for the kid to grow up in peace with their mother. Or, if the dad is the one leaving, then just growing up without the mother.

You didn't run into her; you were just scrolling through CNN.
The "underwhelming" part is probably just because she looks like a normal 18-year-old girl—no fake eyelashes, no drawn-on brows, tons of makeup, a nose thin as paper, or half a gallon of silicone in every curve.☕

Rachel Palmer56 said:I suppose if that happened to me, I wouldn't bother overthinking it.🙂

An American mother who abandons her child usually has a reasonable window of time to change her mind before the child is taken away.
A father like that isn't needed by anyone, I guess. It's better for the kid to grow up peacefully with their mother. Or, if it's the father's turn, without the mother.

Again, when a mother thinks like that, she's putting herself and her own hurt feelings first, rather than focusing on the child.
There are plenty of abandoned kids who have wonderful adoptive parents and still want to meet their biological ones eventually.
Similarly, you have parents who change their minds later and want more involvement in the child's life—and the other parent shouldn't block that, assuming the child actually wants that extra time too.

it's honestly hilarious because she’s just a regular 18-year-old girl without fake lashes, drawn-on brows, heavy makeup, a nose thin as paper, or half a liter of silicone in every body part.☕

I'll say it again, when a mother thinks like this, she's putting herself and her own hurt feelings ahead of her child.
There are kids out there with amazing foster parents who still want to meet their biological parents regardless.
Same goes for parents who change their minds later and want more time with the kid; the other parent shouldn't block that, provided the extra time is what the child actually wants.

That's your take and I respect it, but I have mine too: a child isn't a toy you can pick up and put down whenever you feel like it. It's better for the kid if they never have to deal with that kind of inconsistency.
It's fine if the kid wants to see them once a year, but if they don't want to see them at all, then it's exactly like I said.🙂

Well, why act surprised? Her mother wasn't exactly a legend either—she only played nice with the right people, which is how she became an icon.

Drew Ross2 said:It’s not like you just stumbled upon this; you were clearly reading the New York Post.
I mean, she looks totally natural, right? Just your average 18-year-old girl without those fake eyelashes, drawn-on eyebrows, layers of makeup, a nose thin as a sheet of paper, or, you know, half a gallon of silicone in every single part of her body. ☕

I posted the link so people could actually see what I mean, but honestly, I see her out near Times Square almost every day... she's just small, kind of slouchy, short legs, a double chin—I mean, seriously, why is she not seeing a nutritionist? For crying out loud, what is she waiting for?

It’s fine if the kid wants to see them once a year, but if they don't want to, then my point stands—that's how it should be.🙂

True, but even that child has their own thoughts and desires. Parents tend to forget that far too often.

In this case, the child's opinion would be my priority, but they also need to know the truth.😁

18 is perfectly legal—I’m all for it. Honestly, way better than chasing some 30+ woman stuck in her ways😬
