Posting on the forum via mobile

I usually stick to my desktop or laptop when posting on the forum, but I recently tried using my phone—an iPhone 4—and ran into some major issues. There’s this massive lag between when I tap a key and the letter actually shows up on the screen, sometimes taking several seconds. On top of that, I keep getting these weird little accents popping up over the letters for no reason. It's not like my phone acts up when I'm just typing an email through Gmail, so I'm a bit stumped. Is the site just not optimized for certain mobile operating systems, or am I missing some kind of trick?

The odds that there's some secret trick you haven't stumbled upon—meaning it isn't actually an issue with the forum itself—are so incredibly tiny they're basically nonexistent... honestly. Plus, even though the site has been mobile-friendly since day one, we've seen these weird, unexpected glitches popping up lately on the mobile version, which a few other folks here have already mentioned... It’s more than just looking for an alternative to Reddit. 😉

I’m having an issue with Reddit.

Here’s the deal: I wiped all the apps off my phone and did a fresh reinstall. It used to be that whenever I opened the 'Television' sub, all the top threads were pinned right at the top where they belonged. Now, for some reason, they’re gone. They aren't showing up in the main list at all—just the random, non-top threads. Is there some setting I can toggle to get those top posts back where they were?

You should always specify which OS you're running and which version of the app you have installed, for heaven's sake.
Just try logging out of the forum and signing back in.

Honestly, those developers over at Reddit can't seem to make up their minds—they change things in every single update.
One minute you have sticky threads sitting right on top of everything else, and then the next version comes along and moves them into some random dropdown menu...

By the way, that free Reddit app from the Google Play Store? It’s completely useless—honestly, don't even bother with it.
