Reported via the triangle icon, but here we go...

Since the moderator refuses to discipline himself and my colleague won't step in to fix this, I’m forced to flag the following post:

Alex Williams4 is on my ignore list—everyone knows that—yet he’s playing dumb just to bait me.

Apparently, his desperate plea for help has completely clouded his judgment:

It's a shame he's on my ignore list, because now he's pretending he isn't even reading what's being said.

And this is all after I already warned him about his blatant and pointless trolling of the thread:

There are far too many ad hominem attacks here. I am requesting an appropriate penalty for these unprovoked provocations by a moderator.

Thanks

Noah Diaz, look, since you’ve gone ahead and put everyone around you on ignore because you don't actually want to debate anyone, and instead you just drop links next to a couple of "explanations"—which, let's be honest, aren't explanations at all—the moderator was basically just politely letting you know that you're just trolling and posting links that have absolutely nothing to do with the topic, aside from the headlines. It's pretty obvious you don't even read the articles you're pasting! You showed a chart of historical temperature trends and tried to "draw conclusions," but you couldn't even wrap your head around the fact that it's a logarithmic scale. And the second someone calls you out for writing total nonsense, you immediately start acting all sensitive.

Seriously though... grow up.

They’re honestly just being malicious at this point, thinking they have the right to chime in on your rambling nonsense when they clearly don't even grasp what you're talking about in the first place...
Noah, just start a Substack and turn off the comments for everyone else...

I honestly don't see anything problematic at all in that post by The Beatles.

His real issue—if you can even call it that—is the simple fact that other perspectives actually exist. It’s especially grating when those views clash with his own little theories, but more importantly, it's when he's confronted with the reality that he consistently misinterprets research findings... which happens far too often, mostly because he rarely bothers to read the actual papers he cites until the very end.

And, predictably, once he runs out of logical ground to stand on, he just resorts to complaining and playing the victim.

In this specific instance, the graph itself isn't the culprit. The failure lies entirely in his interpretation, which is fundamentally flawed for three major reasons—not to mention several smaller ones:
1. He completely ignored the established trend regarding the rate of temperature change over the last decade,
2. He bypassed the author's own projections, which cover a 90-year window, and
3. He failed to account for the logarithmic scale being used—where the distance between two units near zero represents about 10 years, whereas that same visual gap on the left side could represent, say, 10,000,000 years. This distinction changes the entire narrative, making things look much worse in the eyes of Noah Diaz...

He was told quite clearly to stop distorting people's research results, just as he does with almost everything else...

The issue lies right here in this sentence.

Quoting this just so everyone can see it (and maybe learn something).

This pseudo-messianic mission to "educate" the masses is everywhere on the fringes of science, driven by nothing but trolls.

Alex Williams4 is already on my ignore list; I have zero interest in reading his posts. Trying to learn anything from him feels like watching an absurd Monty Python fan sketch. For instance, he "taught" me—and plenty of others—how to lift a boulder using a mile-long lever. 🤣

The quote here is purely for emphasis and serves no other purpose.

Anyway, thanks for such a "quick and thorough" response. 🙏

Take his "advice" for instance; I supposedly "learned" how one might lift a boulder using a lever that’s a mile long 🤣

You haven't actually learned anything yet. Not really. Because if you truly understood, you wouldn't be sitting here typing this out or playing the victim... you'd be grateful that someone is even bothering to offer answers to the questions that plague you—and, let's face it, actually interest you.

The Monty Python fans are top-tier, though. You just have to be smart enough to get the joke.

Look, quoting isn't against the rules here. Honestly, I feel like you're blowing things way out of proportion. I'm closing this thread because you aren't actually giving me anything substantial to work with.
