Man, oh man... Massa finished 12th, Button beat me—along with Gutierrez—and I honestly didn't see that terrible driver breaking into the top 10 either.

So, if my math is right, we're looking at 33—not a bad start, really, but we still need to see how the rest of the field holds up.

A tie for first place. Not a bad outcome, just a bit late to the party. 😠

It appears I’ve been rather fortunate, as it seems all my best results have come from the second group. 😁

For graniteharbor502:

I'm filing an appeal regarding Massa—he ended up in 12th place, but I had him down for 10th—so I should be getting those 2 points for him.

I'd give you 35, maybe even 500. 😛

And Massa finished in 12th—which means he actually picks up an extra 2 points. I have no idea why graniteharbor502 missed that detail—honestly—but I’m officially calling for an explanation here.

Please take a moment to review the game rules. Deviations are only taken into account for drivers who successfully qualify for Q3.

Fine—I had to go double-check the rules.

Whatever. Maybe you'll score better points next time.

redjackal said:Is it not a curious thing, how we find ourselves staring at such a split for first place? It is certainly not a bad outcome, though I cannot help but feel a certain lingering melancholy that it arrived so much later than one might have hoped. One wonders, does the delay in reaching such a conclusion diminish the sweetness of the victory itself, or does it merely add a layer of complexity to the triumph? 😠

Could it be that the mere application of the precise positioning criteria was what ultimately secured my victory? Is it not fascinating how such specific technicalities can dictate the final outcome of a competition? 😬
And yet, if one were to look at the data, you find yourself sitting at only third place in terms of the most accurate predictions. 🙂

Aside from that, it remains a possibility that all currently active players—namely redjackal, brighthound8, Terry Carter2, and Roger Wright94—could still secure their spots in the quarterfinals, provided they manage to accumulate the highest number of secondary points among those sitting below third place. Won't the final round of group play be an incredibly tense affair?
