What can I say? There’s a lot to cover, but rather than rambling, I’ll just drop the poster here with all the concert details.

:klap: πŸ™‚

Personally, my only gripe is that the AC/DC singer isn't Dee Snider anymore, but it is what it is. This is going to be a massive show, and I expect Madison Square Garden to be packed.

I just wish AC/DC would play their full set, because that's the whole reason people show up.

It seems to be a recurring pattern with these formal double bills. They announce a full set for the second act, making it look like a co-headlining affair, but once you’re actually at the show, they end up playing nothing more than a standard opening set... This recent Anthrax before Slayer gig is just the latest example of that disappointment.

Regarding AC/DC, we should probably acknowledge they aren't exactly rookies anymore. That said, Alice Cooper still manages to pull off three-hour sets without breaking a sweat. 😬

I’m definitely going. Mostly because I can't miss seeing AC/DC, and man, having Alice Cooper on the bill too is just the icing on the cake...

Obviously, we're talking about AC/DC here. I saw Metallica once and, honestly, they just weren't my thing. We'll see if I end up sticking with them.

You want to come with me?

Honestly, nothing cracks me up more than seeing some goofy pop-metal act headlining while a legit, heavy-hitting band gets stuck opening for them. It’s ridiculous. You take those cheesy, over-the-top acts like Metallica or Judas Priestβ€”they should be the ones playing the support slot for AC/DC, not the other way around! If you want to talk about real hierarchy, AC/DC belongs on a stage supporting Iron Maiden or someone of that caliber. AC/DC brings that raw, rock-solid power to the stage, whereas stuff like Metallica is just amateur-hour singing.

Hell yeah I do.
lonefalcon6 said:This whole thing is hilarious to me because you've got this goofy Northern European comedy act opening up for a band that actually knows how to play... Like, those cheesy acts like Metallica and Judas Priest should be the ones opening for AC/DC, not the other way around. AC/DC needs to be opening for someone like Iron Maiden or something legit. AC/DC is heavy, solid, real music, while Metallica is just some third-rate amateur singing nonsense.

Who even gives a damn about Metallica?

I don't have a clue. But saying AC/DC is opening for Metallica? That's like saying Iron Maiden is opening for The Cultβ€”it’s just pure nonsense. AC/DC are absolute legends with massive legacies, and now they're stuck playing before these untalented kids? (Seriously, is there even one talented band out of this whole Scandinavian bunch?) AC/DC is a heavy-hitting, classic powerhouse, while Metallica is just some new-age power metal toy. I almost never see lineup combos this ridiculous. Look, it’s not like an AC/DC show is going to change your life, but for these kids, they're the gold standardβ€”both for their sound and just because of the sheer respect they command as veterans.

AC/DC aren't just an opening act; they're the special guests here.πŸ™‚
That’s just the way the world works these days, I guess.
You have AC/DC playing to maybe a thousand people, while Metallica can easily draw tens of thousands.
I remember a few years back at a massive festival over in Poland, they were performing in front of half a million people.

So, what’s everyone’s take on this new album? I caught a few gems, but overall... 😬

I’ve listened to maybe half of the thirteen tracks on this album so far. A couple of them feel like total fillerβ€”just there to pad out the runtime. At least, that’s my take. The title track, however, hits the mark.

So, are you guys hitting the show? Did anyone actually snag tickets?

I've got a ticket if anyone's looking for itβ€”200 plush animals.

Alice Cooper isn't singing anymore? 😒
Then count me out. Even if they were one of my absolute favorite bands back in the eighties.

BTW... I'm taking the kids (ages 8, 10, and 12) on a Harley-Davidson trip 😈

@SmartFart He’s still singing, just not with this band anymore. On this final tour, he’s sticking strictly to the AC/DC catalogβ€”one last hurrah. Once the tour wraps, he's closing that chapter for good to focus entirely on his solo material.

I’m a bit too young to have lived through it, but those early 80s albums are top-tier for me. Honestly, Lemmy and AC/DC from that era are my πŸ™

Best to you and the kids. 😁
