Any recommendations? Looking for gifts!

Hey, if there are any kind souls out there, I’m pretty much looking for anything from a bed to some wardrobes.
Basically just all that furniture stuff for the living room, bedroom, and kitchen.
Bathroom cabinets too.
A coffee table for the living area.
Maybe a wood stove or an electric one?
Wardrobes.
A bed and a mattress.
A loveseat or maybe a sofa.
An armchair.
A bathtub.
Kitchen cabinets.

Mainly, I'm just asking for whatever random things you might want to gift to help me furnish this place.

If it's something in better shape or a bit more expensive, I guess I could probably scrape together some cash $67.

Everything in the apartment is pretty old and falling apart because things have been tough financially and we've been dealing with some health issues in the family.

I can handle the transportation myself.

It’s actually hilarious how nobody seems to own anything, yet somehow everyone has high-end smartphones, laptops, or whatever device they're using to browse these boards—it's like, "Oh, I'll just make a quick buck off the naive folks on this forum."

It’s a bit of a toss-up, I suppose... People would likely step up to help, though perhaps things might go more smoothly if there were a greater sense of transparency involved.

If you want to help, and if you can help, then you just do it. If you don't, you don't. It isn't rocket science.
The person asked for help. There's an appeal out there. Your answer should really just be a simple yes or no.
And honestly, if you need a whole list of excuses just to act like a decent human being, then what are you even doing here?

I'm doing a favor for a friend who's actually in a terrible spot financially—he doesn't have both parents anymore, he had brain surgery a year ago, and he literally got hit by a car in the street. You want me to photograph all his medical records and send those over too?

If one possesses both the desire and the means to assist another, one simply does so. If one does not, then one does not.
The individual was asking for help. There is an appeal. A response can really only ever be a yes or a no.
I suppose anyone who requires a complex justification to act with basic humanity isn't much of a human at all.

I'm with Sam Lee2 on this one. If you actually want to help, then help. If you're so curious, just ask if they need help moving furniture or clearing out a garage. At the end of the day, someone might just have old junk they want gone, and in that case, giving it away—even to a reseller—is a better move.

Beyond that, it’s just plain rude to label people scammers based on nothing but a hunch.

Look, I’d much rather sell my stuff than hand it over to some reseller for free, but hey, we don't all think the same way.

And why couldn't they just ask for donations without listing how beat-up the items are? Is that really such a huge sin? Clearly, this person needs a ton of stuff, and you don't have to be literally starving to feel the sting of dropping a massive amount of cash on that much furniture. 😕

So many people list things for sale but can't find a single buyer. At that point, the clutter is just driving them crazy. Why not just give it away to someone in need, regardless of the other details?!

I seriously doubt anyone is going to go out of their way to give away furniture they actually still use.
