rowdyrider12 said:If I recall correctly, Monaco was always notorious for shredding tires—even back when Vettel was running alongside Rosberg. They had solid aero back then, sure, but the tire management? Not even close. And then, of course, there was that infamous "legal" test. 🙂
Something feels off here. 🙂

It seems like Ferrari always finds a way to complain—even when it's the drivers who step up to drive for them on the team radio.

It’s pretty obvious they've completely lost their grip on reality...

It’s pretty wild when you think about it—bringing in four world champions only to fall behind by a single spot in the standings...

Now, instead of Alonso's solid 5th place, they're stuck with a damn 6th on the grid...

And this is only the beginning...

He might barely scrape into Q3 at Monaco—and honestly, that’s being generous to Seb.

I am honestly just so fed up with these Goodyear tires and all this nonsense they're pulling 🤦
I was wondering if you guys think there's any chance that the Bear's advantage actually comes down to the Goodyear rubber rather than the engine itself...🤔

I really don't know why they're dragging their feet on making changes, since they've been stalling on this since last year. It would be so much simpler if the FIA just implemented valve controls to ensure pressure never drops below a certain point—if it does, they just get a fresh set. Or even just better monitoring during tire inflation, because everything feels a bit disorganized right before the start. Now everyone else is just wasting time and money trying to figure out how to fix these trivial issues just to keep up with one or two top teams. 🙂

Man, I am so over this Goodyear nonsense and all these tire issues... 🤦
What do you guys think—is it possible Bear's advantage is actually just having better luck with the Goodyear tires rather than the engine? 🤔

It's the engine. Everyone's running the same tires.

If you ask me, this is just another conspiracy theory!
Goodyear is intentionally messing with Ferrari until they finally agree to switch their road cars over to Goodyear tires...
Once Ferrari starts putting Goodyear rubber on their street cars, maybe then they'll actually be the fastest on the F1 grid...

I know, I know—it's a bit of a stretch, but stranger things have happened in this sport....

Wait, so what kind of tires are they actually running now?

If nobody minds, I was thinking about starting a thread for this year's Monaco GP.
I’ve managed to attend nine years in a row now—so I’ve definitely racked up some great photos...
And then people have the nerve to complain about the economy back home...
While I was in the States, I made it to Monaco nine years straight, but the moment I moved to Germany, my streak ended and I haven't seen anything from Monaco all year.
Life's funny that way...

I haven't a clue—it feels like Bridgestone to me... though I'm probably just guessing blindly here...

Here’s the upgrade path for Renault and Red Bull; you can check out everything else over on the Monaco Grand Prix thread.

Alonso: McLaren could land fourth in the 2016 season

God, that optimism is delusional. Honestly, Red Bull and Ferrari have a better shot at the constructors' title than McLaren does at grabbing even a single point, let alone Williams beating them...
In theory, they might snag a podium, but I’d bet on Haas pulling that off before anyone besides Manor, Sauber, or Renault even stands a chance...

And just like that, the first third of this marathon championship is officially in the books.

Here’s how our top five are looking right now:

1 Nico Rosberg 141
2 Lewis Hamilton 117
3 Sebastian Vettel 96
4 Kimi Raikkonen 81
5 Daniel Ricciardo 78

Since we're on the subject...
Only four drivers are sitting on zero points this season.

21 Esteban Gutierrez MEX Haas Ferrari 0 🤦🤦🤦
22 Marcus Ericsson SWE Sauber Ferrari 0 🤦
23 Esteban Ocon FRA MRT Mercedes 0
24 Rio Haryanto INA MRT Mercedes 0

Look, maybe Ocon and Rio have an excuse for being at zero, and honestly, maybe even Ericsson...
but Gutierrez definitely doesn't.

13 Romain Grosjean FRA Haas Ferrari 29

The guy is terrible, but like, truly pathetic.🤦

And we really need to give Alonso some credit here.🙏
He finished in the top 10 and even beat Mass, despite the massive gap between Williams and McLaren.😳

I am currently revisiting some of the posts from the very beginning of this thread, and honestly, a few of them are so spot on they deserve to be framed and hung on a wall... 🙂

Only four drivers are sitting there with absolutely nothing to show for them this season.

21 Esteban Gutierrez MEX Haas Ferrari 0 🤦🤦🤦
22 Marcus Ericsson SWE Sauber Ferrari 0 🤦
23 Esteban Ocon FRA MRT Mercedes 0
24 Rio Haryanto INA MRT Mercedes 0

Look, I mean, Esteban Ocon and Rio have some kind of excuse for being stuck at zero, maybe even Ericsson if you're feeling generous...
but Gutierrez? Yeah, he’s got zero excuses whatsoever...

13 Romain Grosjean FRA Haas Ferrari 29

The guy is just straight-up terrible, and I mean truly, deeply pathetic 🤦

And honestly, we really need to give Fernando Alonso some credit here🙏
He managed to snag a top 10 finish and even beat Massa, which is wild considering how massive the gap is between Williams and McLaren right now.😳

seriously, this guy has been the absolute worst driver for like, oh my god, decades

Ali say ten wins and still walk away without a title... That record will probably hang around for another fifty years.

We really have to put that into perspective—it was 10 wins out of a possible 21. If it had been 10 out of 16, sure, I'd see the point... but the context matters here.

The percentage is actually higher (48%) than the margin by which Alain Prost lost his championships in '84 and '88 (44%).

Lewis Hamilton managed to match Ayrton Senna in one specific regard—he’s the first champion since Senna in '89 to lose a title to a teammate. 😬
