What's the character limit for DMs?

To the editorial staff over at Reddit, I am reaching out to ask if there is even the slightest possibility of expanding the character limit for private messages. 🙂
The current constraints are, frankly, quite stifling. 🕺

I’m jumping in to support this request. The character limit is barely half a decent post, which is honestly such a massive bottleneck when you're trying to have an actual conversation that goes deeper than just describing someone's anatomy.

I’d like to echo that sentiment—it would be incredibly helpful if we could see a higher character limit for posts.
