Hey everyone,
I've got a bit of a situation here. As you can see in the photo, two of these plastic clips have snapped off, and now nothing is staying seated properly. Because the contact isn't tight, my CPU is overheating like crazy.
Does anyone know where I can actually track down replacements for this specific plastic part? Does it even have a formal name? Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

I picked up four of them on eBay for just a buck apiece. Are we talking Intel?

Yeah, what's the name of that thing again? Thanks.

The plastic is surprisingly durable. I actually swapped out two pieces on my brother's Yeti cooler myself, and it hasn't given me any trouble at all.

Honestly, the plastic is surprisingly tough. I swapped out two pieces on my brother's PC cooling setup myself, and it held up perfectly fine. No issues whatsoever.

Thanks,

You could probably just grab this cooler too. It’s cheap, you won't have to wait a month for shipping, and honestly, it's a total steal. Plus, you can just move it over to your next build later on:

In any case, that’s definitely the smartest move if you're stuck with a stock cooler. I actually have the CC95 myself, and honestly, it performs beautifully—miles ahead of the standard Intel setup. That said, it wouldn't make sense to sink money into an old relic like the rig my brother is running, so I just picked up some basic mounting brackets for about a buck 🙂
