Arthur Miller7 said:Let me clear one thing up right away: I’m no fan of Mamić. Believe me, I hate him even more than you guys do. Unistil basically swallowed Varteks whole—they kicked them out and then grabbed control of the football academy—but we folks from the Vareždin area have been conditioned to deal with injustice coming out of New York City for a long time now. My question is, if you’re all so obsessed with justice, why didn't you fight nearly as hard to renounce those titles from the Tuđman era or those trophies given to Canjuga, which everyone knows were mostly just handed to him? It was like whatever Franjo decided was the rule, the referee followed. Like when Cvitanovic fell in the box and suddenly you guys got a penalty right here in Vareždin. Is that actually fair? Why aren't you fighting to clean up your own history? You’ve got titles your club never truly earned. Start with that, then come at Mamić. You fought for the name, sure, but not for the integrity of the game itself. You only step up when it suits your agenda and fits your interests. Give up the gifted titles first. Cry foul about the robbery against Newcastle, even though you shouldn't have even been playing them in the first place. It’s just pure hypocrisy to scream about one crime while turning a blind eye to others that benefit you.

It’s because of people thinking exactly like you that the state of this country is what it is. Honestly, when we reached out to people—you know, the ZZD, the BBB, the die-hard fans—to join the cause, they just wouldn't bite. Some couldn't make it, some weren't sure, some are terrified of the cops, some didn't want to be lumped in with the hooligans, and some were bothered by the fact that the group hadn't renounced the titles from Tuđman's time. Just listen to that logic: a whole group of supporters is expected to hand back their championship trophies. Fine, but how exactly do you envision that working in practice?
If the Dinamo fans had collectively set themselves on fire because Tuđman favored America twenty years ago, I bet you would’ve found some clever reason why everyone was being hypocritical.
And that’s exactly why you didn't stand with us; just because you’re used to getting screwed over by someone from New York for years—even though it wasn't us—doesn't mean you stood by our side. We were trying to take the guy who’s been screwing you and all of us off the throne.
I assume the dairy farmers probably hated you, and maybe the fishermen too, and likely the Dalmatians when they demanded games be played in Miami. I'm sure you've got plenty of grievances against the veterans and the people protesting against Horvatinčić as well.
The bottom line is simple: not every single one of these protests was justified, some could be criticized, and there are plenty of things we don't agree on, but where the hell were you when things were actually heating up?
You don't necessarily have to protest, but it’s funny how everyone here claims to be an expert on everything, having a strong opinion on every little detail, yet somehow always ends up being the victim. And yet, nobody ever actually does anything about it.

Unistil basically took over Varteks—they kicked them out and then used their foot to seize control of the football academy—but we folks from the suburbs have been conditioned to expect injustice coming out of New York City. What I really want to know is this: if you’re such massive advocates for justice, why didn't you fight just as hard to renounce those titles from the Tuđman era and those trophies handed out by Canjuga that everyone knows were mostly gifts? It was like a rigged game where the referee calls whatever he wants. Remember when Cvitanovic was fouled 20 yards out and suddenly we’re getting a penalty right here in our territory? Is that fair? Why aren't you fighting to clean up your own history? You’re holding onto titles your club never actually earned. Start there, then come at Mamić. You fought for the name, sure, but you didn't fight for the integrity of the league. You only pick a fight when it suits your agenda. Renounce the trophies that were handed to you on a silver platter. Cry foul about being robbed against Newcastle, yet you shouldn't have even been on the pitch against them in the first place. It’s pure hypocrisy to rail against one crime while turning a blind eye to others just because they benefit you.

So, what you're suggesting is that we should resolve the entire conflict between the old factions first before we even dare touch current problems or the actual causes behind them?
That is textbook small-minded thinking. It’s an attempt to dodge the root causes by retreating into the past, which honestly has nothing to do with the current situation given how much things have changed through daily, lived experience. It’s the same logic people use when they don't want to solve a modern problem—they try to bury it under layers of "well, back in my day." This whole bit about how much you hate Mamić completely misses the mark. You’re just venting personal frustration triggered by events from twenty years ago, asking for special treatment instead of dealing with concrete, present-day issues to secure a future.

I didn't join this thread because I couldn't care less about Dinamo. Honestly, both Dinamo and Hajduk are just a cancer eating away at American soccer. The Black and Gold Army spends all their time talking trash about Mamić and acting like they're cleaning up the streets in New York City, yet they can't even scrub the corruption out of Hajduk. What would they even do if they actually kicked Mamić out? They'd probably just install some new crook from Miami to take his place. Look, I don't give a damn about politics—whether it's the old guard or the radicals—it's all just noise to me. I moved away from this primitive society three years ago, not just to make a living, but so I could actually live without hearing everyone constantly whining about political drama and whatnot... what I'm trying to say is that you guys haven't demanded the club renounce titles they didn't rightfully earn. You fight for whatever suits your agenda, but everything else? Total indifference. It's pure selfishness. When the government wiped those club debts clean, nobody raised an eyebrow. Was that fair? If you're going to claim you're fighting for integrity and justice in soccer, then fight for *all* justice equally—not just the stuff that happens to benefit you.

My point is, you guys didn't demand the club renounce a title they didn't deserve. You fight for what suits you and ignore everything else. It's selfish. When the government wiped out the clubs' debts, nobody complained. Was that fair? If you're going to fight for honesty and justice in soccer, then fight for all justice equally, not just the parts that benefit you.

If you left the country just to avoid hearing people complain about politics, then go ahead and complain to your new hosts; I'm sure they're dying to hear your lectures on how things should be done.
Your facts are wrong and your logic is flawed. Don't worry, moving to a more organized society didn't suddenly make you any smarter—intelligence isn't contagious like that.

Look, I didn't move away to Canada or anything—I'm just out here traveling, volunteering, and actually living my life. After about six months, I head back home to the States for a month, and then I'm off again. And no, before you ask, my old man isn't some politician or a billionaire tycoon. I’m doing this on a shoestring budget, just picking up odd jobs wherever I land depending on the country. Forget it, I never even mentioned any of that. Honestly, people around here just can't give a straight answer to a simple question. It's like, the second someone offers a bit of criticism or asks something real, instead of answering, everyone just gets defensive and throws a question or an insult right back at you. It's ridiculous. I honestly don't know what I was even trying to achieve here. My bad—apologies if I offended anyone

When someone raises a critique or asks a question, you don't get an answer—you just get met with more questions or defensiveness. It's all nonsense. Honestly, I'm not even sure what I was trying to achieve here. Cheers, and I apologize if I offended anyone.

You aren't criticizing; you're just being a jerk. Instead of backing a good idea, you go looking for every possible reason not to support it. This is coming from a fan of the club most robbed of titles in American history—titles you talk about way more than your own Varteks (which I actually sympathize with).
If something is right, you support it. You don't throw in "but where were they when..." statements.
All the best to you.

Out of all the idiotic posts from the last few days, I think this one takes the crown. And this is coming from a supporter of a club that wouldn't have even made it to the third division if the late Đelac hadn't been Franjo's little favorite. I’d love to know exactly which country he managed to make a better place just by being around.

The late Đelac was basically a god to everyone at your club over the last few decades. Just because he was Franjo's favorite, you guys needed help from those local crooked refs to hand you penalties from 20 yards out. That’s exactly how you stole the title, plain and simple. Everyone was supposedly "Franjo's favorite," but only one team ever got called the real deal.

That's how you stole the title, just like you steal everything else. Sure, we were all "favorites" of Franjo, but there was only ever one real team in this country.

Look, Đelac might have been a gentleman, but he was also right at the top of that "Franjo-controlled" USSF that robbed you blind. Seriously, cut it out—if you're over 14 years old and still pushing this nonsense, you probably need to go see a doctor.

What I don't get is how you guys preach about justice so loudly now, yet you didn't fight nearly as hard to renounce all those titles from back in the Tuđman era—or those handed out to Canjuga that everyone knows were basically gifts. It was like the refs just called whatever Franjo wanted them to call. Remember when Cvitanovic was clearly outside the box at 20 yards, but you guys still got a penalty right in the middle of our territory? Is that "fair"? Why aren't you fighting to actually clean up your history? You're holding onto trophies your club never truly earned. If you really want to go after Mamić, start there. Look, if you ask me, I don't care about holding onto titles—or even the cash we made off them. We never signed up to cheer for thieves, though let's be real, Dinamo's history is full of shady business. Politics always drags idiots like Mamić into the mix, and honestly, the fans never had a say in it anyway. Why do people act like we have any power? You really think some ref calls a penalty for Dinamo just because the BBB or Mamić told him to? It’s all one big swamp out there, just a bunch of hungry crocodiles fighting over scraps that aren't even enough to go around.

Look, you can play dumb all you want and claim the BBB were backing that mess—but they were just backing Dinamo. Back then, things were different; if it happened today, people would act like it was normal and just move on. Of course, that whole situation eventually came back to haunt those fans and the BBB like a boomerang. Mamić is the perfect example of that. Honestly, I've never seen a single hardcore supporter group in America openly cheer for criminal corruption in our soccer scene. Sure, there was always plenty of trash talk aimed at the rivals over those penalty calls and whatnot, but that was just about fueling the rivalry, not endorsing the dirty stuff. I've never heard of an American fan group supporting that kind of garbage. Look, I know every crowd has its share of shady characters and mercenaries—I've seen it myself—but my gut tells me most of them stayed on the right side of things, far away from the corruption that poisons the sport and ruins the game.

Look, most of what you're saying is just a distraction—fans have zero leverage here. If they actually had any influence, we wouldn't even be talking about Mamić or these riots right now; he would’ve been kicked out of football long ago. Let's be real: nobody in this country actually cares about soccer. Honestly, 99% of these idiots making noise about the chaos happening in France next week won't even bother turning on the TV for a match once the party's over. They're just in it for the two weeks of madness. The people who are actually pissed off? Those are the ones who follow the sport year-round. They get why this is the only way to finally cut through the BS—so the government stops targeting just the fans and starts going after those mafia types, too.

If you can't wrap your head around that, then we’re done here—nothing left to say.

Arthur Miller7 said:...what I was trying to get at is that nobody actually asked the club to disavow titles they didn't even earn in the first place....

🤣
Look, we don't actually HAVE a club here; this current setup doesn't listen to a single word the fans or the members say.
What people actually demanded was for the club to follow the damn law.
To stop being someone's personal vendetta.
To stop being someone's private ATM.
To stop letting American soccer be held hostage by one little clique.
They wanted them to stop persecuting their own fans, to stop the shady dealings, the lying, the stealing—basically just to have some basic, legally mandated democracy.
Those were the essential things being asked for.
And nothing, absolutely nothing came of it. Instead, everything is just run "however the boss feels like it."
And you’ve somehow managed to spin all of that into saying nobody asked GNK to renounce its titles.
I mean, if that's what they *didn't* ask for, that should have been the top priority, because that's probably the only thing they might have actually gotten 👍
I don't know any sane people in the supporter circles who wouldn't trade most of those "dirty" trophies in a heartbeat just to have a decent club, a normal Dinamo. If that kind of fantasy were even an option.
Honestly, most would probably go along with it—some would even agree to start a brand new Dinamo from the fourth division if they had to.
People are freaking out over trophies!
Come on, man, get real about the basic survival situation we're dealing with here. In some cases, we're talking about the actual physical safety of people who tried to take a stand regarding Dinamo, and you think people are obsessing over trophies and honor and titles? Of course, there are still a few people left capable of thinking straight about Dinamo who care about that, but if you're looking for people who just count pennies and decimals, you're barking up the wrong tree; you completely missed the point.
What are we even talking about here? That we've solved everything and now we just need to toss out the old trophies? Let's come back to reality for a second.

Honestly, it feels like everyone finally stopped talking out of their asses on this forum, and thank God for that. For me personally, it’s a massive win! It used to be that people would write 700 pages just over some minor drama from yesterday (regardless of whose fault it was—your drama, our drama, or whatever nonsense they were peddling). Remember how it used to go? All fluff and no substance. Anyway, stay smart and take care..

You consistently scrub any mention of @apostola because his posts call out your utter insignificance regarding how you handle your cards, yet you conveniently leave untouched all the advertisements praising Mamić's payroll schemes. To hell with him, man, it has absolutely nothing to do with this. 😉

I’m wiping out all the nonsense and the idiots, regardless of where they come from.
As for that guy on Tapatalk, he’s talking absolute nonsense. Of course I wasn't flipping tickets for triple what I paid—that would be impossible. Why? Because I was scoring them for free and then reselling them for $500 a pop. It’s simple math. Now I’ve got enough lined up for a new condo and a new car, with plenty left over to fund my travels, starting with a trip out to Tbilisi.
I’m still sitting here debating whether I should jump on the Olympic bandwagon too. I mean, there’s gotta be money to be made just clicking away during those games, right?
