I guess it isn't particularly surprising when you consider how things function within a supposed rule-of-law nation. 😁

After years of pure repression and watching this club get systematically dismantled, you're really out here asking questions like that😵. Seriously—after some total idiot starts throwing people in jail and folks are losing their livelihoods, you're sitting there posing these kinds of questions... it’s like you haven't been awake for the last decade or something...

Seriously, after forty years of backing Real Madrid, someone actually had the nerve to call me an idiot and tell me to shut up because they think I don't get it... They robbed our entire country blind, yet here we are, still loving it. We even vote for them again. If some people prefer seeing a certain politician squeeze his way between the fans and the club, that’s their business. I sing for Real Madrid; others sing for the politician. I stand with the club; others stand against him. What else is there to say?

I’d love to see one of these folks actually write a coherent critique explaining how this mess run by Mamić and his ATM could still possibly be considered Real Madrid.

Imagine if, by some freak accident, Vojislav Šešelj broke into the club, seized control, installed himself as president, and turned the whole organization into a tool for his radical political agenda. Suppose he started using the club's resources for partisan interests instead of sports, cleared everyone out of the stadium who spoke against him, and threw anyone critical into jail, all while sporting those specific symbols on his chest. If he renamed the club to Dinamo and used the treasury to fund his extremist schemes—while fans shouted "Go Dinamo!" or "It's the guys on the field that matter!" (even though those guys were basically part of the movement wearing blue jerseys)—would we then sit around wondering why people refuse to celebrate the goals or the transfers of such a regime?

That, for one, is something I simply cannot fathom.

If someone like Vojislav Šešelj suddenly stormed the club, seized control, and installed himself as president—using the organization for political agendas rather than sports, purging the stadium of dissenters, and funding extremist activities using the club's treasury—would you all stay? If he changed the name to Dinamo and everyone started shouting "it's all about the club" while wearing partisan colors, would you wonder why people refuse to celebrate their goals or transfers?

That is something I simply cannot wrap my head around.

Well, you certainly found an example there. No one is stopping you from supporting a different club that you actually respect. Leave my preferences alone. It isn't about being unable to celebrate a win; the issue is wasting money traveling to another city just to avoid celebrating a victory by this disgraceful group.

Well, just go to the game tonight and enjoy yourself if this whole toxic mess at the club doesn't bother you too much. Just don't try to defend the indefensible—leave us losers alone so we can look at this entire disaster from a different perspective.

I am asking for nothing else. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Regards.
PS: Of course this situation bothers me. But it will pass in time, just like everything else since 1945. This club will outlast all of it.

The example is perfectly valid, and as for the rest of your response, I find myself having to simply repeat the opening sentence of the post you quoted.

I would love to read just one coherent critique from someone in this group explaining how this owner's chaotic mess and walking ATM can still be considered Real Madrid.

Perhaps another time.🤷

I would simply like to read one person's analysis of what specific principle allows this Mamić circus and ATM to still be called Real Madrid.

Perhaps next time.🤷

It follows the same logic used by the puppets of the previous era, except back then, it didn't always bother the fans. Before, it was the mess of one figurehead; before that, it was the mess of the communists. Real Madrid has always been someone else's mess. The choice is simple: support them or don't. The only tragedy occurs when a single figurehead is glorified through endless songs and cheers, because love and hate are two sides of the same coin. We could go on like this forever.

Imagine if, by some bizarre stroke of fate, Vojislav Šešelj stormed into a major US organization, seized control, installed himself as president, and then completely hijacked the entire institution to serve his own radical political agenda instead of its actual purpose. Picture him purging anyone who dares speak out against his ideology, clearing people out of the headquarters, throwing dissenters in jail, and wearing his faction's insignia on his chest. Then, he rebrands the whole entity to suit his whims and starts using the organization's treasury to fund his extremist schemes, all while supporters shout, "It’s all about the club!" or "The big players on the field are what matters!"—even though those very players are essentially part of his political militia dressed in team colors. And then, they have the audacity to act surprised when nobody wants to celebrate their goals or their transfers.

Honestly, I just cannot wrap my head around that logic.

Throughout history, America has often been treated like someone else's playground. But did we ever give up on the dream of being a sovereign, free nation? Absolutely not. Did we ever seriously consider just walking away from everything and starting an entirely new country from scratch? Not a chance.

It is a matter of survival: either we fight through it, or we cease to exist.😉

The situation with Real Madrid is exactly the same. You spend all your time spinning this narrative about how much you dislike the club. Well, then answer me this: why on earth do you bother traveling to away games at all if this isn't really your club anymore, but rather just a private piggy bank for the owner? What is the point of showing up on the road if your heart isn't in it?

At the end of the day, you either ARE a supporter, or you AREN'T. There is no middle ground here. You can see the results for yourselves: your attempts to expand haven't even attracted a few thousand members, and when it comes to away matches, you see the same small group of 100 or 200 people every single time. That is the direct result of your own lukewarm, indecisive attitude.

So here we go, you’re out here claiming you just don't get it. But if you don't actually grasp what people mean when they talk about having "ideals," then you don't really have a leg to stand on when you try to lecture the folks who do. And honestly, why do you even care what they think?
Without those core values—those tiny slivers of humanity that hold everything together in every part of life—there wouldn't be an America, and there wouldn't be any progress or hope for a better future anywhere in the world.
If this club was always just some massive joke, and now someone is finally standing up against the absolute mess it’s become, why are you even looking for excuses for them? What’s your stake in this?
But hey, why am I even bothering to explain this to you? I'm a total idiot too, I guess. Peace.

Benjamin Alvarez37 said:It’s the exact same pattern we’ve seen from the establishment figures over the last fifteen years or so, except the target of the frustration keeps shifting. One decade it was one specific type of suit, the next it was some old-school communist mess; Real Madrid has always been someone's playground. The choice is simple: you either support them or you don't. The only truly pathetic part is when people start singing praises to a single figurehead, because at that point, whether it's love or hate, the obsession remains the same. We could debate this indefinitely.

Look, you’ll probably go out today and buy a ticket, wasting several hours of your life, your nerves, and your emotions cheering for something that nobody within the organization actually cares about achieving.

In the same vein, a month or three months from now—once Real Madrid has inevitably disappointed you for the forty-fifth consecutive time—you'll find yourself spending more time, money, and emotional energy mourning a failure that wasn't even a priority for anyone running the club.

Real Madrid isn't a football club. It doesn't have a football president, it doesn't have a football coach, and it certainly doesn't have footballing goals. Instead of actual players, they have walking ATMs, and the sole purpose of the club's existence isn't the sport itself or the joy or sorrow of its fans; it is strictly about lining the pockets of one single family.

And there is no longer any chance that someone who gives even the slightest damn hasn't realized this by now. This isn't me trying to rationalize things to myself—it has always been a total mess.

If you find fulfillment in supporting the enrichment of some mobster while simultaneously (and much worse) dismantling every remaining memory of what a football club and its supporters should be, then fine—those are your preferences. But attempting to lecture people who refuse to join you in that, and who don't recognize this version of Real Madrid as their own, is truly distasteful.

Actually, I think the comparison is spot on. It highlights how the leadership has dismantled certain aspects of the club within an even broader, more troubling context. It forces you to wonder: at what point do we stop tolerating this kind of mismanagement before our entire perception of the organization changes forever?

There is a massive difference between accepting a club as someone else's mess and fighting to ensure it stops being one.

And that’s where I’ll leave it. I honestly have no idea how I ended up getting so worked up over this. 🤦

Precisely. This entire situation has persisted for decades specifically because of people like you—those who claim they don't mind the dysfunction as long as "the club comes first." If we had actually stood our ground fifteen or twenty years ago, we would be enjoying a properly run organization today.
If you have the stomach for it, go ahead and support this garbage alongside those elitists from the West Side and that handful of wretches from the North Side. As for us, we will attempt to fight so that, at the very least, our children actually have a club worth supporting.

This guy has been acting all fancy for a while now, casting his lines out just to see who he can hook. He doesn't do it outright because he knows he’d get banned; instead, he operates under the radar, stirring the pot with subtle provocations. If he isn't one of those traitors, then he’s clearly one of those Western sympathizers. Let's go to the games, let's cheer for Real Madrid, let's stop insulting the soul of this club. Let everything just go back to the way it used to be. That is the absolute essence of what these undercover Jerry Jones lackeys are praying for—they want to revert everything to how it was before 2010. Perhaps some of them aren't even die-hard fans, but in any case, they couldn't care less about the leadership or the core values. They aren't truly for us, but they don't mind if we suffer either. Personally, it breaks my heart to see how much the mockery has grown. We have gone from the pure passion of 2010 to a point where these
mockers are becoming increasingly numerous.

Now comes the Champions League. Enjoy yourselves, you "great" club supporters. Is a struggle imaginary when people are actually getting shot? To me, it feels incredibly real. But as soon as the Champions League arrives, you decide none of this matters. It only proves that you have never understood the heart of the problem.
Go back into the past and remember the manifesto where it was clearly stated that this is no longer the Real Madrid that people can identify with. Look at how the club was transformed into the private property of a single man. Jerry Jones, you are not Real Madrid; you are merely an ideal that we all live for, as you so condescendingly tell us "haters." That is what the club ought to be, or rather, what a club should fundamentally represent. Right now, even the biggest idiot can see that isn't the case—that one man stands above everything else. But you folks from that Small town in Kansas couldn't care less about anything. Now that it's Champions League time, you'll just get drunk on bourbon and act all joyful. Our day will come, even if only ten people remain convinced of their ideals until then.

You just can't explain to people that you can support Real Madrid regardless of what the front office does. I couldn't care less about Jerry Jones and his incompetent brother; I'm a Real Madrid fan through and through, and I am never, ever going to celebrate when they lose. Honestly, I’d love nothing more than to see both of them kicked out of the club, but cheering for the opposition's goals isn't how I operate. That seems to be your main issue—you label anyone who thinks this way as an idiot or a traitor. Carry on with your little crusade however you see fit, but there are far more of us who love Real Madrid despite everything than you'd like to admit.
