What would you ask David Lynch if you could?

I might actually have a shot at meeting this director because a close friend of mine knows him personally. If he’s in a decent mood, I’d love to pick his brain for a bit, though I certainly don't want to be that annoying person who overstays their welcome or pesters him with mindless questions.

If you were in my shoes, what would you ask him—something beyond the usual, tired clichés we've all heard a thousand times?

Nah, I wouldn't even bother asking him anything, honestly—I’m just not really his biggest fan. Though, I guess I could flip the script and see if he has any burning questions for me instead? 🤣

All jokes aside, nothing is jumping out at me right this second, but I’m sure I could dig up some juicy, interesting question to throw his way if I really tried... I mean, you gotta learn something new from a guy who’s actually a professional film director, right?

I don't know. There’s just this shamanic aura surrounding him... he’s so obsessed with spirituality that I’d probably follow his lead anywhere he pointed... if he told me to jump into a well, I’d probably just do it... 🤔

But man, in Dune, you can practically get away with anything you set your mind to. He found a way to pull in everyone to be part of his cinematic vision: getting Salvador Dalí for something totally epic, casting Orson Welles as his favorite chef, even Mick Jagger, who couldn't say no when he was asked right there in front of everyone...
