Honestly, the statement doesn't make much sense. They claim the brake-by-wire switched from "active to passive"βwhat is this, did they switch over to Windows XP safe mode? And what exactly does switching a potentiometer to "passive mode" even mean? Does passive braking just mean you hit the pedal and the car slows down via rolling resistance?
Did he burn the brakes, or did he not...
The whole overheating issue was blamed on "driving behind slower cars and overtaking them," as if nobody else dealt with that. Then, in the end, he failed while trying to pull away from Kimiβironic, since he had clean air right when things fell apart...
The best part of the race was Kimi's drama with the pit wall. He actually asked if they even had a strategy for the second stop, because his harder tires were feeling great...
And then there's the excuse that Sebastian Vettel couldn't get past Bottas because the car exits corners so well. Like, has anyone even tried the basic tactic everyone else used? Just open the DRS, floor it, and dive into the inside of the corner... What "bad exit" are we talking about when Vettel didn't even attempt an overtake once?
