Help! Having trouble registering on the forum!

Hey everyone, I’m not entirely sure who’s pulling the strings here, but a friend of mine—who happens to know I’m lurking on this forum—was asking me about why she can’t get registered. Basically, her application was rejected, but from what I can tell, none of the usual red flags seem to be present. I mean, I know we usually block things if a username is offensive, if it’s already taken, or if someone tries to impersonate some big-shot celebrity.

But none of that applies here. I guess there’s always the slim chance they flagged her as a clone of a permanently banned user, but that isn't the case either.

I can pass along the specific response she received to a moderator, a supermod, an admin, or whoever actually handles these kinds of headaches, so maybe someone could clarify what’s going on? My surface-level grasp of English, combined with her own, just isn't quite enough to decipher why she was turned down in the first place. 😁

Beyond just the insults hurled at public figures, I suspect that following last night's wave of coordinated bot attacks from overseas, nicknames containing numbers might actually be restricted now. That was likely where the issue originated.
