Or, if we were to use the legal jargon... do ut des, we'll just come up with something 👍
It's way past 2000, man. You can just toss some PHP 3.0 at it and call it a day—you don't need anything more.

<? echo 'Oooo big words for a rookie'; exit();?> 😁 And your so-called legal stances too. 🙂 "Fundamental human rights," you say—wow, how incredibly profound. Truly. Such amateur hour.
Look, if I were actually motivated, I could drop a link by noon tomorrow—even on a Sunday, because it's that legally straightforward—but since I prefer being thorough rather than just playing games with my vocabulary, let me think deeply about it first. Optimizing vBulletin functions or core features to the newest versions is easy enough, so don't sweat it, assuming we're even using vB.
I’m not under the impression that it's time for some massive "forum" overhaul, but what I truly despise is sustained, poor editorial oversight and the suppression of free speech. Those actual fundamental rights. In my view, there is absolutely no place for that kind of censorship on any forum, purely due to the very nature of public opinion.
You claim you don't care about public opinion? Well, I certainly do. Are you blaming me? Oh, well, just go ahead then... and

They can convince themselves they're right all they want; I don't see any benefit in letting their hate speech and filth bleed into the mainstream.
Once they actually start acting on it, then we deal with them.
And just who are you? Are you the owner of this forum, deciding who gets to congregate here? You aren't. So, on what basis are you playing police officer? Oh, I see—you've invented labels and slapped them onto anyone who disagrees with you. And what determines those labels? Your imagination. You see, I could easily imagine a hundred different criteria and slap a hundred labels on you, then play cop. Anyone can do that. In a civilized society, we do things differently. When it comes to speech, we prohibit libel. That occurs when someone lies, like saying, "Anthony Perez9 stole my wallet," assuming you have a real identity instead of a handle. Libel is about causing actual harm to another person.
However, if someone says, "I adore Putin and love seeing him drop bombs on Ukrainians," they haven't actually harmed anyone. They have only disgraced themselves. And they have the right to do so. That falls squarely under freedom of speech.
But the issue here isn't even people saying things similar to that. The issue is people asking why Putin does what he does. They compare his motives to the reasons used by the West—specifically the USA—or the justifications other nations have used for various military interventions. Furthermore, the West didn't just ignore sanctions; they turned a blind eye entirely. This leads us to discussions regarding hypocrisy and double standards. It leads to questions about whether the West might have actually fueled the war. Or it brings up the damage Western politicians cause to their own citizens through irresponsible and reckless handling of the entire situation. But nobody cares about any of that. It is more important to pose with a Ukrainian flag, make noise, throw out labels, and categorize dissenters based on subjective whims. Then, you get to play policeman and act as the ultimate moral authority. It's like Kadija suing you while Kadija also sits in judgment of you.

So, if someone says, "I love Putin and I love watching him drop bombs on Ukrainians," instead, they say:
''I adore Hitler and love how he sent millions to gas chambers.'' Does that suddenly count as free speech?
Honestly, what kind of darkness are these people born into and raised in? 🙂

Exactly.
If someone says, "I love Putin and think dropping bombs on Ukrainians is great," instead of saying:
''I loved Milošević and loved how he leveled Vukovar to the ground,'' would that also count as freedom of speech?
Hello? Is there a pilot in this plane? 🤔

Sure, when you get blown apart by a democratic bomb, at least you die with a smile on your face, knowing your death served some higher purpose, unlike being torn to pieces by a Russian one.

Honestly, it doesn't even necessarily have to be a democratic bomb; I mean, as long as it was bought with democratic money, I suppose that's all that matters. 🤔

Go screw yourself, buddy.
I saw you over on the midterm election thread and honestly thought you were getting played, so I came over here thinking I’d back you up—but apparently, I was dead wrong...🎉

Racists, conspiracy theorists, Nazis, Putin supporters... you guys just throw those labels around the second someone doesn't start or end their post with some mindless pro-Putin mantra—or heaven forbid, their content doesn't include one of your "wise" little critiques. What kind of "activity" are we even talking about here? The whole point of a forum like Reddit is to have debates—you can't have actual discussions without differing opinions. Plus, people have been posting here for years. Seriously, what kind of behavior is that? 🤣 Just more childish jokes and annoying virtue signaling—honestly, just hang in there, people like that aren't going anywhere. By acting... You guys are doing a killer job defending the PDF from any actually interesting discussions or anyone on here who’s even slightly smarter than the average troll. 😁
