I ended up just slapping a v8gts in today. Honestly, I can't be bothered to order parts; the quality isn't even that great, and it’s a total tight squeeze in the case....

How does that thing actually cool down? Is it loud?

I mean, Scythe Ashura will probably beat it on thermals, and it’s half the price, too.

It's hard to put into words—it's just pure aesthetics. Love at first sight, really. I practically bled while I was installing it...

Honestly, I have no idea yet. I just finished the build, and since I left the cables a complete mess, I'm going to take a breather before I actually check if it's running quiet or not.

Aesthetics 🤣
You honestly could have picked up a much better cooler for that kind of money, but I guess this one will do alright enough.

I was actually looking at the X3 Airrazor, but I had to pass once I saw the sheer size of it. Honestly, that thing isn't exactly built for a mid-tower case...

Once I finally get home from work, I’ll head out to pick up those screws and the SSD mounting bracket.

I’m planning on picking up a new graphics card shortly;

it seems like the R9 280 is still a solid choice, though an R9 285 would certainly do the job as well (as for these two 7770s, I intend to list them on the market for roughly $167 apiece)🍿

I don't know, $167 maybe per unit... That’s basically just an R9 285 level card, which means it *is* an R9 285. Besides, you can easily find a 561 Ti for $167 that performs noticeably better.

Adam Moore3 said:I am not entirely certain, $167 regarding the individual units... We are looking at performance on par with a Radeon 6850, which is essentially what it is, yet one could easily find a GTX 560 Ti for $167 that offers noticeably superior graphical power.

Ultimately, it seems I would be handing over both of those cards for a mere $33 once you factor in the shipping costs of 🍿.

Don't just guess $233 for both of them. People are broke—honestly, I wouldn't even trade a single dollar 😁

It’d realistically be 400 apiece, or if someone grabs both, 700. 🙂

Looks like the R9 280 is still a solid bet, though an R9 285 would work too (planning to flip these two 7770s on Marketplace for about $167 each) 🍿

This one would probably be your best move

Wouldn't be a bad call to grab this one while it's on sale, just heads up—it's pretty long

Does that 6-pin connector fit into your graphics card?

A colleague of mine managed to lose the mounting bracket for his motherboard, so I didn't hold back on the verbal reprimands I gave him. 😒

I was forced to step in and select a CPU cooler myself, and my choice landed on this particular unit.

http://www.newegg.com/?naziv=cooler-co...komentar_input

Will this thing actually be able to handle the Asrockic, or will the sheer pressure from this cooler cause the motherboard to buckle under the strain? 🍿

Is this thing going to crush the Asrockic? Worried the board might actually bend under the pressure.🍿

Man, you're being paranoid. It's not like the PCB is made of tissue paper. I have a heavier cooler than that and my board doesn't even flex, let alone with this tiny thing.

You spent all that time lecturing us about Crossfire support, and now you're moving to a single GPU? Total pivot.😵

You spent so much time lecturing everyone about Crossfire support and bothering people with your theories, and now suddenly you have pivoted to a single GPU setup?😵

Well, once you finally admit to me that using two Intel Core i7 chips is just plain foolish...

Yeah, they are. But that doesn't mean you need to run out and buy a new GPU right this second if what you've got works fine enough for you.😁

Look, we told you that before you even pulled the trigger on the motherboard. You could have easily grabbed a $300 model right out of the gate if you'd just listened.$133 Sell the GPU for cheap and move on, though I guess that window of opportunity closed once the local bake sale ended. You mentioned earlier that you already have a separate cooler—which one exactly are we talking about? If you’ve already got a solid cooler sitting right there, I don't see any reason to blow more cash on a new one.

If anyone’s actually interested, go ahead and grab them—but let’s be real, those two graphics cards aren't exactly anything special in Counter-Strike.

Actually, they hold their own quite well in CoD; once you drop down to medium settings, they perform more than adequately.🍿

Back when you picked up those two HD 7770s, they were actually cheaper than the GTX 570 by quite a bit. $333 They both deliver basically the same performance. Honestly, if you aren't running into those CF issues, just stop worrying about it, save up your cash for a GTX 970, or maybe just wait for the GTX 960.
