Technically, according to the law, not a single game should have been allowed since 2004 because organizers were given exactly one year back in 2003 to get their stadiums up to code, and nobody ever did it... and so on and so forth.

That isn't just the Kansas City Chiefs' position.
It's merely one requirement among many.

That’s only one part of the equation.

Fine, whatever you say, man. But I’d love to see someone actually point out where this is being said or who is even bringing this up besides that one single article. It’s just one specific clause, and lately, everyone is talking about rephrasing it, not getting rid of it entirely.
It’s pretty obvious nobody in this damn country—not the negotiators, not the people they're sitting down with, not even the fans—has bothered to actually read the entire law from start to finish. The dogs are barking, but the caravan keeps moving right on by...

Obviously nobody in this damn country: not the negotiators, not the people they're negotiating with, not even the fans, has actually read the full law. All bark and no bite, I guess...

Are you trying to say blacklists can just keep happening arbitrarily if that specific clause gets removed?
Because if that's the case, there's really no point in fighting to change that clause if they can just trigger a blacklist through some other loophole in the federal sports laws.
I think you're wrong.

Edit: Total brain dead.

Because if that's the case, there’s zero point in fighting to change that one section if they can just trigger the same blacklist bullshit through some other loophole in the national security laws.
I think you're missing the mark here.

There are plenty of other articles out there written with the same vague, sweeping language designed specifically so they can screw us over. It might not be the exact same method, but the result is the same. I'm telling you, Section 32/7 is just one single example of an article that needs to be scrapped entirely or at least tightened up until it actually means something.
Let me repeat: it looks like nobody here has bothered to read these things word-for-word unless someone underlined them in red ink first.

I guess I'll just drop this here again, it's basically a cleaned-up version with the most recent updates from today.

This law serves a singular purpose: repression of sports fans. Security guards now wield the same authority as police officers, both groups tasked with policing chants and judging messages posted by people who barely finished high school. Under Section 31 of this statute, where participants are treated the same as ringleaders, the right to self-defense is effectively non-existent. Even fundamental American rights—like freedom of movement and property rights—are being trampled, granting police the power to search anyone's vehicle or redirect crowds at will. Is there a single clause outlining the duties of the police toward the spectators? There might be, but those provisions only trigger after the repression and arrests have already occurred. We all know the truth: these are the moments when the law ceases to protect us.

Looking at this statute, I don't see where they actually have the right to demand my ID

Also, does anyone know what "providing for inspection" actually entails?
Does that just mean showing them the card?

Honestly, this whole law is a joke. There are so many questionable clauses in there that it’s either outright violating human rights or skating right on the edge of doing so. I think analogheron19 is spot on with their take on that. But at the same time, this recent move regarding the blacklists is actually a decent step forward. It proves that things can actually change, even if just a little bit. It’s nowhere near what we were all hoping for, obviously, but compared to that mess with the stimulus vouchers, this is the most concrete progress we've seen. Of course, that's assuming anything actually happens. It’s entirely possible this is just a superficial facelift for the same old garbage hidden within the legal code.

People have already tried taking these specific legal clauses to the Supreme Court—if I remember correctly, they tried to scrap that whole "intelligence gathering" part—but it didn't fly. Honestly, you don't kill a law with lawyers; you kill it through politics.

If this clause actually falls, it’ll be because:

1. Because the Fandom capitalized on the absolute mess involving the Kansas City Chiefs' management. They tied the frustration over those blacklists and teams refusing to take the field to the massive protests where tens of thousands showed up... It’s kind of like how the US seized its moment back in the day to reshape things on the global stage.
30,000 people equals 30,000 votes, which equals politicians wanting to stay in power, which equals changing the law.

2. Because there’s finally a solid foundation to tear it down:
Look at what happened at Yankee Stadium. They used that clause as a weapon, putting thousands of innocent people on blacklists just for thinking differently, or fans getting flagged for speaking out without even being reported. Plus, the blatant double standards when dealing with guys like Jerry Jones... What sounds okay on paper to the general public is being exposed as an absolute disaster in practice. That’s why I'm hoping it gets scrapped.

So, how do we take down the rest of the articles?
In America, you can't just have some group of 100 or 300 lawless citizens and expect someone to suddenly step up and fight for them.
It’s not happening. And frankly, I'm worried it might be too late to bundle these other changes together with real arguments. If people actually put in the work to build some unity, maybe we could make progress... but who knows.

Long-term, if you want to dismantle laws in the future, you have to constantly call out and prove how they're being abused. You have to show the rot.
> Like, if we see a situation where the law is ignored for one "VIP citizen" but slapped onto everyone else, that is a textbook case of abuse—it's total INEQUALITY BEFORE THE LAW.
> Or if fans in one city get a pass while fans in another city—where they're clashing with management—get hammered, that’s straight-up DISCRIMINATION based on "political or other beliefs."
> Or if a spectator sitting quietly in their seat isn't touched, but someone yelling "USSF IS TRASH" gets penalized just for being in the wrong section? That's discrimination all over again.
...
Recording these abuses, building the case, presenting the evidence by comparing sentencing or whatever—that’s how you pave the way for bigger changes. But just shouting about it isn't enough. All those protests and actions are just meant to create constant, long-term pressure. On their own, they don't do much unless you know how to score the goal (see point 1). But if people actually did that consistently, we'd already be seeing situations like this one where the clause finally collapses. In football terms: you get out on the pitch, you give it everything you've got, you burn through the energy, and eventually, you find that opening to score.

People need to wake up and realize that everything we’re doing right now—every single opportunity we have to actually make an impact—has an expiration date. And that date hits the moment the current election cycle wraps up. We’ve got maybe twenty days left where we actually function as voters, and once that window closes, we’re all just going back to being nothing more than angry hooligans. There are dozens of people here who have perfectly clean track records, yet it isn't enough that three of them had the guts to demand specific, named explanations for these bans. It has to be bigger than that. If we don't scale this up, the momentum will just fizzle out, and in the end, the wolves are going to eat the sheep alive.

So, once Popic and the rest of the crew finally moved on, I guess they figured they needed some new muscle standing up in the front rows? 😁 😁

Listen up, everyone. It’s high time we stop talking big and actually start doing something about this. Tomorrow, we kick off the push to clear those blacklists, and it is absolutely critical that every single one of you steps up. Don't just sit there waiting for someone else to clean up your mess. Tomorrow, if you think you’re on a blacklist but you haven't actually been sanctioned or aren't facing any legal trouble under the fan safety laws, you need to act. Go online, try to buy a ticket, screen record the entire attempt—including the seller's response—and make sure you have a witness with you who isn't currently banned or under investigation. From 3 PM onwards, you need to get down to the Fan club headquarters over on Main Street. Bring your details, your phone number, and all the info regarding your witness. REMEMBER, THIS IS HUGE. We cannot afford anyone being lazy about this. Spread the word to everyone you know.

How am I supposed to help if I'm not in Chicago and I didn't even plan on going to the game tomorrow?
