If I'm "dead wrong," then I guess Ricciardo just got a free engine failure, because apparently, that wasn't an issue in the Renault car...

It didn't happen in Max's car either πŸ‘‹

Tibi, you're totally lost. Renault is slower than Red Bull Racing, just like you wrote yourself.

neonfox65 said:Look, I’m telling youβ€”it wasn't his fault during the race. What did he actually mess up? It was qualifying...

It’s honestly wildβ€”this kid can jump straight into Formula One with zero experience, pull off qualifying sessions like that, and drive a race without completely binning it... meanwhile, one of the guys from Christian Horner's "elite driver lineup" can't even get it right. Just crazy...

Sebastian Vettel acting like he’s never made a mistake? Give me a breakβ€”Tibi, seriously, quit the trash talk...

Of course he's to blame...
If he wrecked the car the way he did, it was obvious he'd run into the exact same issues during the race...

If it were actually possible to fix a chassis that badly damagedβ€”not to mention the gearbox, the suspension, the mountain of sensors and wiring,
and probably the power unit tooβ€”then damn well the crew could just build brand new cars right there in the paddock from Wednesday to Friday, instead of struggling to get them ready from one race to the next.πŸ™„

You all are getting quite tedious with this Ricciardo business. πŸ™‚

Prstić vs tire shredder 1:0

Given how long we had to wait for Ferrari to finally show up, I’m not exactly throwing a parade here. Honestly, the wind is absolute garbage if one crybaby just ends up beating another crybaby. 🀦

$17 The money spent on this recorder is worth it, though. I wake up, check the footage. Breakfast, coffee, then ease into the race right from the lights out. You can watch the start as many times as you want, skip the commercials, and whatever else.

Seriously though, how many years has it actually been since an Australian Grand Prix went without a Safety Car?
And does anyone even remember the last race where not a single driver got penalized? 😲
Not even Hulkenberg for a restart or those two guys at the start. πŸ™

Damn, it just hit me how insane that sounds. 🀣

Man, that Alonso-Ocon-Hulk trio is the only thing providing decent highlights this season. πŸ˜‰
Three cars fighting through a single cornerβ€”now *that* is real racing, not this fake DRS nonsense on the straights. πŸ™„

Aside from that, the most thrilling race that ever got me hooked on Formula 1 was the one where you basically had to wait the entire race for a single move. 😁
If you haven't seen it, go watch Monaco 1992 Senna vs Mansell. If they’d had DRS back then, the race would've sucked, but as it stands, it's a masterpiece. 😳

After that overtake, Fernando Alonso didn't head back to the garage because of a technical failure; he went there to hide from the sheer embarrassment 😁

I did. 😁 On ESPN, the commentator was rambling on about how it was some kind of 3D graphite effect for Williams to celebrate their 25th anniversary in Formula 1.

Alonso didn't disgrace himself; on the contrary, he performed a miracle!

It is akin to racing an Aprilia RS250 against a GSX-R 1000 at Daytona International SpeedwayπŸ™‚. It isn't exactly simple, even if the RS250 holds its own in the corners.

There's just nothing left from the old Alonso days.

Put him in a Mercedes-Benz or a Ferrari, maybe even a Red Bull, and you will see. You are talking about a man who pulled off the greatest miracle in Formula 1 over the last decade. He fought for the championship twice in a car that wasn't even competitive against a dominant Red Bull Racing.

Antonio Giovinazzi actually put on a solid performance out there.

Especially when you compare him to Lance Stroll.
