neonfox65 said:The real turning point was when Ham lost all that time trailing Max—that's what cost him the win. I even heard it mentioned on the news.

because the exact same thing would've happened if he was stuck behind Kimi (or even Massu, Sainz, Kvyat, Perez, or anyone else in the top 10 who isn't lagging behind Russia by more than two seconds per lap)
and he would've been stuck behind any of them since he burned through his tires too early and pitted way too soon☕

Sure, that played a part, but I'm telling you—the key factor was Max. And honestly? Vettel won the race on Sunday, not Saturday...

Maybe try using your own eyes and brain to actually watch the races instead of just reading headlines and listening to pundits...
If your entire opinion on what you're seeing is shaped solely by news clips and commentary, then there’s really no point in watching the races at all...

The real issue is that Hamilton absolutely trashed his tires, okay?🙂
If he hadn't, he wouldn't have spent the whole day staring at Max's rear end instead of seeing anyone else in front of him besides the rearview mirror.🙂

That absolutely insane, millimeter-perfect move by Perez on Kvyat was incredible. 🙏
Then you had Hulkenberg and Ocon hunting down Alonso,
Stroll getting past the Nazi before his brakes gave out, and Kvyat Sainz on track before the pit stops...
Maybe there were others, but those five are definitely in my book.

But yeah, if those three mentioned above were the only "real" overtakes, 🙏
I'd much rather have three genuine battles than 1,000 fake ones aided by DRS 🙂 or that stuff they do in NASCAR. 🤦

People keep writing "a la"... but honestly, ALA is something else entirely—that animal... 😉

And what's the deal with all this overtaking talk in NASCAR? Honestly, that’s where you see the most natural passing—no artificial aids, no weird tire gimmicks, and none of those judges constantly sticking their noses into a driver's duel...

That’s true enough—but it isn't the final move. If you don't wrap things up properly, well... you're screwed.

Hey neonfox65, go grab an Advil or something and just relax until we get to China.

Your previous favorite driver has been stuck in a mid-field machine for three years now—and as for your current pick, he pretty much ruined his own weekend. To make matters worse for you, he's sitting in a third car; seeing a four-time champion pull off such a masterful victory really makes me think you aren't having a great day today.

Strategy is a fundamental part of every single race, including this one—just look at how Ferrari stumbled in Australia and Canada last year, so what's the big surprise now?

The reality is that Vettel was putting the pressure on Hamilton until the latter completely cooked his tires. Ferrari proved they have an excellent car when it comes to following the leader. Hamilton took a gamble and pitted because that pressure forced his hand, but then he got stuck behind Max, and well—the rest is history. Honestly, nobody is to blame here except him and his team, though they did try to bail him out by bringing Bottas in.

It was a clean, beautiful win for Ferrari—there isn't much more to say about it. I’m looking forward to seeing some equally great racing in China.

The total number of overtakes is kind of a meaningless stat, anyway—who actually cares about 30 overtakes when they're all happening on the straights thanks to DRS? I much prefer watching it like this.

You really can't go betting on Ricciardo.

How on earth was he slowing him down when he couldn't even get close enough to make an attack? For real. 🤣

Well, looking at it from Alonso's perspective, his car was already struggling, so maybe it wasn't a true overtake after all.

Flip it, turn it—he ended up looking just like Zonta in that duel.

🤣🤣, what a character. Seriously, just go ahead and enjoy your little fantasy world. Sending love. You actually heard him saying he was slowing down, yet somehow he was faster than Hamilton and at a distance where nobody could even touch him. 🤣 🙏

Did anyone catch what Massu was doing out there during the race today?
He spent most of the session glued to his phone, scrolling through comments on Reddit.
Honestly, he wasn't even paying attention to the cars ahead of him, and I doubt the drivers behind him even noticed he was there.

Yeah, you're right. He was completely invisible during the whole race. I don't think anyone even mentioned his name once... 🤔

Give it a rest.🤦

What you’re getting at is basically saying it’s all the wall's fault—that the wall caused Ricciardo's gearbox issues and breakdowns—instead of just facing the fact that Ricciardo went off track and slammed right into it...
So yeah, clearly the wall is the main culprit here and everything else is just a side note...
And if there wasn't a wall, everything would be just peachy.😍
