Oh, great. So only Red Bull Racing gets banned from using that suspension setup...
I mean, it’s no shocker that they're struggling to keep up.

Meanwhile, Mercedes changed theirs just to be safeβ€”didn't want to get hit with a post-race penalty...
But let's be real, they probably had it figured out long before this mess even started, so the tweak was easy.

Other than that...

Haas got ordered to ditch the T-wing, which isn't surprising since they're clearly feeling the heat right now...

Tibi, what are you gonna do if Red Bull Racing ends up being faster than Ferrari again? 😁

God knows, I have zero clue. πŸ™‚πŸ™‚
All I know for sure is I'm definitely not starting to root for Rich just because the Red Bull Racing car turns out better than the Ferrari...

Tibi is merely offering a wry, sarcastic nod toward those sets of flags that seem to swap drivers the moment they find themselves stuck in an uncompetitive car. 😁

It feels like the season wrapped up before it even actually got going. 😒

Hehe, I don't think we're anywhere near the finish line yet. These free practice sessions are really just extended testing periods. Personally, I’m looking at a massive three-way dogfight this year between Mercedes-Benz, Ferrari, and Red Bull Racing.

Back in the day, you knew exactly what you were gettingβ€”Mercedes would absolutely tear up the qualifying sessions while Ferrari held their own with solid race pace. Now? It’s anyone's guess which setup actually favors the Mercedes.

I was expecting Meck to be the fastest car on the grid, but I didn't anticipate a gap this massive.
Being nearly half a second behind Meck tomorrow would be a total disaster for Ferrari. It’s such a huge failure that it makes me want to call for a complete overhaul of the technical team immediately.

Firing the technical staff would be the biggest mistake ever...
But honestly, that’s exactly what Ferrari might do, and then they'll just be back at square one again...
When you're dealing with such a dominant team, stability and time are everything. You can't just rush things and keep inventing "quick fixes" that aren't actually solutions. 🀦
It feels like that's the fatal flaw with the McLaren-Honda comboβ€”Honda seems to be pivoting to a new concept every other week instead of finally picking a direction and actually refining it.

I haven't followed much over the winter, just caught a few days of testing here and there.

I didn't buy into the whole Ferrari "renaissance" narrative either. Things have been off at their HQ for way too long for them to suddenly leapfrog everyone, and it’s unrealistic to think Mercedes would just hand over their massive advantage overnight.

I'm not trying to be some armchair prophet like some people on here, but I'll go out on a limb and predict this year's standings will look pretty similar to last season, though Mercedes might look a bit more convincing than they did last year.

I actually made a similar call back during the 2017 season discussions, so it seems nothing has really changed. It's a bit disappointing and honestly a little boring, if you ask me.

Last year, right after the opening race, I mentioned that the only way Mercedes wouldn't win was if their drivers collided or had a mechanical failure, and I was right. I'm hoping this season doesn't have to play out that way.

That said, Valtteri Bottas will likely need some time to settle into the car, which could allow Lewis Hamilton to build up a significant lead, but we'll see.

It wasn't just Practice Session 3, it was the whole damn weekend. 😲
Pascal couldn't drive through qualifying or the race; they were basically praying for rain...

Honestly, I don't get how they're still dealing with these issues after ROC. 😡
