So, I went to use the bathroom earlier, and before I even flushed, I noticed some weird buildup in the toilet bowl. I leaned in closer to get a better look, and I swear, I saw these tiny little worms moving around. I’m actually freaking out right now. I’ve heard about worms in stool, but seeing them in urine? That’s a first.

About nine months ago, my urine started looking and smelling really strange. Since I don't have a primary doctor in my area, I ended up at the ER. They basically brushed me off, telling me not to worry and that I probably just wasn't staying hydrated enough. To be fair, I wasn't drinking much water back then. The smell eventually went away after a few months, but the color stayed off. My urine remains dark and cloudy. I finally saw my own doctor to bring it up, and he just told me it would clear up on its own and that there was no need to stress. He didn't even order any tests.

And now, I see these tiny little worms. Does anyone actually know what this could be? I’ve already scheduled an appointment with my doctor, and since I’m traveling back home tomorrow, I'll be seeing him then. I figured I’d ask here first.

About nine months ago, my urine had this really strange color and smell. I ended up heading to the ER because I don't have a primary care physician in the area where I live. They basically told me not to worry about it and suggested I drink more fluids, assuming I was just dehydrated. To be fair, I wasn't drinking much water back then. I finally followed up with my doctor to mention what happened, and he just brushed it off, telling me it would clear up on its own. He didn't even order any tests.

And now, today, I spot those tiny little worms. Does anyone actually know what this could be? I've scheduled another appointment and I'm driving back home tomorrow, so I'll see what the doctor says then. I figured I'd ask here first.

I really hope it isn't this: http://www.cdc.gov/parasites/schisto...info/faqs.html Have you traveled recently, or has anyone you've been around traveled to tropical or exotic locations?
It is absolutely mind-blowing to me that with all the symptoms you described, your doctor didn't even suggest a simple urinalysis.
If I were in your shoes, I wouldn't wait for a scheduled appointment; I'd head straight to an urgent care clinic or a specialized infectious disease center where they can run a full panel and start treatment immediately. Stop putting this off for even one more day!
