Does anyone happen to know the difference between the
Samsung Odyssey G7
Samsung Odyssey G7
Samsung Odyssey G7
Samsung Odyssey G7

The prices are roughly in the same ballpark—though the 65 series is a bit more expensive...

Should I grab one of those, or perhapsthis Dell S2421H?

It’s just for a secondary setup alongside my laptop—nothing too big or fancy needed...

It’s an HP with an IPS panel for $350. That’s the first thing you need to check. I can't quite remember the exact model number.

Is it actually worth picking up this AOC e2350Sh?

Specifically for $233?

Honestly, if you just shell out a few extra bucks, you could probably snag an IPS panel instead. For instance, maybe look at something like the " AOC monitor I2269VWM, IPS, LED, 21.5"/22" .

I’m looking for something on the budget side that isn't total junk, mostly because I just need it for my old desktop setup. I wasn't planning on dropping a ton of cash, but they're offering me this new monitor (the one mentioned above), except it only comes with a 12-month warranty.
My current monitor is actually doing just fine for gaming on my main rig, so this extra one would basically just be a backup.

Should I just bite the bullet and grab something used for around $167?

Yo, can someone give me the lowdown on this monitor in the link?

Also, if you're feeling generous, hit me with some solid recommendations under $233 bucks.
The reading mode on this one looks killer, which is
huge for me since I spend like 50% of my life just scrolling through stuff online. It'd be awesome if
whatever you guys suggest has something similar built-in!

Thanks

I’d appreciate some feedback on the monitor in that link.

Also, if anyone feels like helping out, I’d love a solid recommendation, around $233 bucks.
The reading mode on that specific model caught my eye because it’s
pretty essential for me, considering I’ll be reading online about half the time, so it would be great if
whatever you recommend has something similar built in.

Thanks.

First off, let's establish the basics: you don't buy a monitor every day, so you need to be deliberate with your choice since this is something you'll be staring at for years. To put it bluntly, forget that Samsung model; it's just a standard monitor with an outdated TN LCD panel. On top of that, it only features an ancient, clunky analog VGA port. In this day and age, any decent monitor needs to have a DVI or HDMI connection alongside that old VGA port.

As for a recommendation, that part is straightforward, so here is the ASUS Eye Care Monitor—it's your best bet. You won't find anything better for that kind of money, though you could certainly find much worse if you aren't well-versed in technical specs. From what I can see, it's currently the cheapest option at CNN, so you might as well grab it there, though the price shouldn't vary much elsewhere. If the ASUS doesn't come with a DVI cable in the box, just pick one up separately; it isn't expensive. Buying a modern LCD monitor and pairing it with an old analog VGA connection is like buying a brand new Ford and putting cheap, subpar Goodyear tires on it.

In practical terms, the ASUS Eye Care Monitor is essentially the smaller sibling to the Dell UltraSharp models, which happen to be among the most popular monitors sold across various UN member states.🍿

I'm looking to pick up a monitor or a TV—if anyone can help a guy out. I don't know much about this stuff, honestly. Budget is max $733. Ideally, I want something at least 32 inches or maybe even closer to 34 inches if possible.

What should I actually be looking for here? Any solid recommendations?

I’m honestly really pleased with the pair of Dell UltraSharp U2422H monitors I picked up recently—they've been great. Even our graphic designer is completely happy with using this exact same model.

Generally speaking, what should I be looking out for, and does anyone have a specific recommendation?

So you're specifically hunting for a computer monitor with a built-in digital TV tuner so you can watch broadcast television on it. If that's the case, you really only have the 27 or 28-inch range to choose from, because once you start looking for larger PC monitors with integrated tuners, they pretty much vanish from the market.

In practical terms, there are a few things to keep in mind; first and foremost, you absolutely cannot settle for a TN LCD panel. You need to stick strictly to monitors featuring IPS or VA—specifically AMVA—LCD panels. Every decent option will include an HDMI port, and fortunately, almost all of them do, so that shouldn't be an issue. Finally, ensure the monitor has a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. I mention that because some 27 or 28-inch Monitor/TV hybrids on the market come with a pathetic resolution of only 1366x768.

As far as actual recommendations go, here are three 27-inch models (roughly 69cm) that feature built-in digital tuners. When you look at the math, the cheapest option here is more than sufficient for what you need.🍿

I’m looking to do a bit of research on monitors.

I need a 24'' IPS panel. Ideally, I want something budget-friendly that isn't complete junk. It would be a plus if I could pick it up at a local shop in San Francisco or just find something with reasonable shipping costs.

I came across this one, but I don't know much about monitors myself—all I know is that I want at least a 24'' screen and an IPS panel, based on a friend's recommendation.

I found this one, but I don't know anything about monitors. All I know is I want at least 24'' and it needs to be IPS, because that's what a friend told me.

1) Cheap and "not junk" don't really exist in the same sentence.
2) You should probably give me an actual budget. If you're looking to spend maybe $100-$$667, then the specific model doesn't matter much, since everything in that price range is pretty low-end.
3) What are you actually using it for?
4) Your friend might be right, but they might not be. Everyone seems obsessed with IPS, though a PVA panel is arguably way better for reading text or vector graphics.

Hey everyone! I'm stuck between these two monitors and need some help deciding:

http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/p.../LT22D390EW/XU

http://www.dell.com/hr/p/dell-u2311h/pd

The first one caught my eye because it actually has built-in speakers (though they probably sound like crap) and you can watch TV on it—from what I gather, you just plug in a coaxial cable from an antenna. That's a huge deal for me, honestly. Being able to watch TV right on the monitor is a major factor here. I really want to know if it's worth ditching the TV option and just going with the Dell instead. Is the extra quality worth losing the TV functionality?

Thanks!

I'm on the lookout for a little white monitor, maybe something under 22 inches, and it really needs to have built-in speakers too...😁

If you ask me, go with Samsung since it actually has a USB port. Besides, we both know those speakers aren't going to do much for you, right?

Just gonna toss this here instead of starting a whole new thread—I’m looking to pick up a 24" monitor for under $400 (which is honestly super $500). 😉

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08R5Z9N2L - features a pivot function and an IPS panel.

If you don't want to deal with shipping delays from an online retailer:

http://www.bestbuy.com/details/product/1234567

Or, if you aren't bothered by having one inch less screen real estate:

http://www.walmart.com/search?q=ASUS+VX239H

Just make sure to stick with Best Buy or similar big-box stores—they offer a solid 5-year warranty. Plus, the VX series from ASUS is generally a step up in quality compared to their VS lineup.

a these? I know they’re a bit out of my budget—totally get that—but honestly, grabbing them at Best Buy just feels way easier... plus, they look pretty slick, right?
Maybe someone knows a better deal in this price range, though? Like, maybe something sitting on the shelves at Target or even just some random online shop?

edit: actually, would these be a better move if they're $133cheaper
? Does it even matter if the screen size is a little smaller... or maybe these🙂 instead?
