rustysurfer79 just started using FedEx for shipping. Through the end of the year, it’s $3.25/package regardless of size. I think this thing will fit in any of those packages 👍

True, but doing COD with a check or bank transfer only works through FedEx, and man, they charge a premium—around 40 $17 for door-to-door delivery.

So basically, you pay via invoice,
email over the receipt,
then send the info to the nearest print shop.
Then just sit around for 2 or 3 days.

That’s almost an entire work week right there.

With FedEx, though, you've got it by tomorrow.

rustysurfer79 said:That's true, but paying that redemption fee through the IRS only works if you use FedEx—and let me tell you, they charge an absolute fortune for it. Around $40! $17 Door-to-door delivery included. What more could you possibly want?

So he can just pay by invoice? Is that really how this works?
Send over a copy of the payment receipt. Now.
Then just send over the info from the nearest print shop!
So I have to wait two or three days? Really?

So, basically, we're looking at nearly an entire work week gone. Just like that!

And what about the FedEx delivery? Will that even arrive tomorrow?

So I have to pay? Seriously? $17 Shipping costs? No way. It’s absolutely ridiculous!
Invoices? What on earth are you talking about? I don't run a business, and frankly, I have no clue what an invoice even is. All I need is some basic ink to print things for myself at home!

Forget about invoices—I don't own a business and honestly have no clue what an invoice even is. I just need some basic ink so I can print stuff for myself at home!

Look, there isn't much I can do for you here.

If everyone thinks like this, it’s no wonder our economy is totally flatlining.

Just go ahead and buy the genuine Epson LC and LM inks. For maybe twice $33 the price, you get two 10ml bottles. Problem solved.

The way you're doing it, you'll end up paying $13 for just two 10ml refills. You could practically buy a whole new printer for $200. You'll burn through those original inks before you know it. Seriously, after five cleanings and twenty pages of text, you're already looking for more. Then, twelve months later when the digital warranty expires and you realize how much this Epson actually cost you, it’s going straight to the landfill. You'll be sitting there crying about your old R265, wishing it was still around. Too bad they don't sell LC and LM cartridges at the local CVS for $5.75 anymore.

But hey, whatever. Your head, your money.

If this is how everyone thinks, no wonder our economy is in a coma.

Just buy the original Epson LC and LM inks. For roughly double the price, $33 you get twice the amount. Problem solved.

The way you're doing it, you're paying for 6x30 instead of 2* 10ml—$13. You might as well just save up for a new printer at $200. You'll burn through original ink before you know it. Seriously, after five cleanings and twenty pages of text, you're already shopping for more. And once that twelve-month warranty expires and you realize how much this Epson actually costs you, it’s going straight to the landfill. Then you'll be crying about your old R265, reminiscing about what a great printer it was. Too bad they don't even stock LC and LM cartridges at the local corner store for $5.75 anymore.

Honestly, I couldn't care less about your head or your money.

Once again, you're skipping half the conversation! Explain what LC and LM actually are, and what on earth an invoice is???
What do you mean "corner store"?! I buy my ink at Links, but they're out of stock! I found an alternative where they have them and they're cheaper!
As for the new printer, it's perfect because it's an all-in-one scanner, fax, and copier, which is exactly what I need! I don't want to hear any more excuses. I simply asked a question, just like the person at the start, but it looks like you're just advertising your own site so people buy from you!

What kiosk?! I usually get my ink at Links, but they’re out of stock! Luckily, I found another spot that has them and they're actually cheaper!
And about the new printer—it’s perfect because it’s an all-in-one with a scanner, fax, and copier, which is exactly what I need. I don't care about any other excuses. I was just asking a simple question like the guy at the start, but you sound like you're just plugging your own site to get sales!

I'm with you on this.

The holidays are coming up and nobody in their right mind would retire an old R265. Even if it's old, it still gets you from the Midwest down to the coast without breaking the bank. This new one is basically just something nice to look at while sitting in the garage.

Plus, you can always grab some Colibri refillable cartridges for it later. You can't do that with this one. Sold out.

The only difference is that on the trip to the coast, you can't go faster than 55 mph and you have to stop at a gas station every 19 miles. It's great though, gives you plenty of chances to grab a coffee, hit the restroom, or pick up a magazine.

Meanwhile, the R265 cruises at 70 mph in 6th gear and you only need to refuel every 100 81 miles.

Check it out, I've got some cheap replacement ink right here. Been grabbing mine from this spot for ages and honestly, I'm pretty stoked with how it turns out.

rustysurfer79,

There’s really no need for anyone to be dishonest here; I placed an order through your service, and after a full week of waiting, the package still hasn't even made it to my front door, all while costing me $22
.
Honestly, you shouldn't carry yourselves with such arrogance or resort to using such unreasonable language when responding; people are simply asking straightforward questions, so perhaps try practicing a bit of civility when you reply.

Don't be so arrogant and use such rude language. People are just asking simple questions—try actually answering them properly.

Honestly, those kinds of complaints should be aimed at FedEx first. When they deliver something out to a small town in rural Wyoming, they basically drop it off in a tiny village nearby and then the local mail carrier has to haul everything together on a bike to get it to the destination. Plus, the package ends up crossing through a different state twice. And hey, if a storm hits the Sierra Nevada, anything can happen. Especially when you're dealing with COD payments.

That's why in cases like this, it's smarter to just pay via invoice upfront and send stuff through the USPS. At the end of the day, in those remote spots, it's the regular mailman who gets the job done, not FedEx. And honestly, other couriers aren't much better. Some island deliveries only happen once a week.

Oh, isn't that just wonderful? Now that someone’s actually pointing out that the shipping cost wasn't the final word, you all just point your fingers and say, "Go complain to them instead!" Look, I’m not planning on filing any official grievances, but there’s a fundamental issue here. When a person is told—explicitly, mind you—exactly what the total shipping fee is, and exactly when that package is supposed to land on their doorstep, and then reality decides to take a completely different path, well, I hold the person who gave me that information responsible. It’s quite simple, really. If you tell me one thing is the absolute truth, and it turns out to be a moving target, you can't act surprised when I'm frustrated by the misinformation. Is that clear enough now?
