Give me a break. Experience has shown that you guys can't even moderate a single thread—like the one mentioned above or some basic PDF file—yet somehow you have plenty of time to flaunt those admin badges and collect your paychecks.

That’s what experience shows. You created this thread yourselves because you claim to be so "user-friendly"... yet countless times users have been shut down in here. You clearly don't know how to moderate, let alone manage it, so now experience shows that your best move is to just lock it once you realize you can't clean it up.

Don't mention it.

p.s. Where exactly are users supposed to take their complaints against the admin team when you lock and bury every single thread that calls you out directly, while leaving threads where people scream at the moderators wide open whenever you feel like it? Or are you guys just above accountability altogether?

I have to strongly disagree with that take.

In my experience, it's been clear that the absolute best admins this site ever had were Vienna and Mr. Dog. Everyone else was just spinning their wheels—the only difference was how much they were struggling. Now, the current duo isn't perfect, but compared to the previous guy? They’re a breath of fresh air.

It’s obvious to me that you’re just sticking up for your buddy (if I even want to get into that...) whenever you get the chance, especially since you're clearly annoyed by how he was replaced. You were his sidekick when he was an admin, and you're still acting like his sidekick now. What really misses the mark here is trying to pass off your personal and family ties as the only valid way to run things. History has shown that hiring based on who you know or family connections almost always backfires—it kills the quality of the forum and ruins the whole vibe.

What ambermason16 is actually pointing out is that this sub feels like a collection of threads where a fixed group—plus some variable players who are basically just clones of the regulars (usually because they're either banned or just can't handle anything)
dump hundreds of posts into, dragging some moderator through the mud under the guise of being "tolerant," only for the admin to step in and lock the thread.

That alone might not seem like a huge deal, but it messes with the purpose of this sub. This shouldn't be some exclusive club for the elite; it should be a service where anyone can ask a question and get an answer.
If you just keep walking in circles without moving forward, you eventually just turn everything into a muddy mess.

The hypocrisy really gets to me. You clearly haven't actually read my posts. ☕

That ban from a few years back just tells you exactly what kind of people we were dealing with. That's it.

I don't know about you, but I still remember when this subreddit was called Messages, Wishes, Comments. 🤷

Between the constant screw-ups by bad admins and mods, the old US-based community has basically turned into garbage. It's honestly pretty sad when you stop to think about it and remember how this place used to be.

The way the current admins run things is just a carbon copy of how the previous ones did.

Thanks for the rational take. I've already put that blonde user on my ignore list, but I figured this was about ZgSash. Sort out your issues with ZgSash and stop obsessing over me. Stop pasting that same nonsense about godparenting that has absolutely nothing to do with you.

Aside from the incredibly sharp points made by Jose White23, I also see a total failure in moderating a single thread—a thread that was supposed to be a helpful resource, not a playground for ruining the community's vibe. Then there's the incompetence and the shameful way people sweep their own messes under the rug. But I won't go into all that, because I still respect the rules of this site, which forbid leaking moderator-only business.

And mark my words, you all will scatter just like those ten others (a few of whom are actual pros at administration)... let's just hope you don't drive away another creator, someone like a Mirrorball type, by being completely incompetent. That would be a real shame.

I really don't see any point in dragging this out further; there’s no sense in leaving a space open where everyone just starts sniping at one another. If we let that happen, you'll all end up with strikes, eventually getting banned, and then once again, people will blame the "evil admins" instead of admitting that they simply couldn't control the urge to provoke each other.
