Then, while you're taking out the trash, just push the bin back and forth for a couple of minutes. Take a thirty-second breather, then do that five times over. And hey, if you accidentally take the elevator instead of the stairs? Start jumping around in there! That’s just how you start. Once you've mastered that, we can move on to the actual heavy-duty routine. You'll be built like a tank in no time. This next level is really more for the pros, but I can tell you've got the drive.

🤣
But seriously, you've gotta yell it out loud! 😁

I had this wild dream last night about hitting the weights, and I swear, when I woke up this morning, my biceps actually felt bigger! 👋 👋

brighteagle26 said:So, I was wondering if it’s actually possible to build muscle without lifting weights or doing any formal exercise at all. Like, can you get jacked just by watching what you eat and staying active? By being active, I mean stuff like taking the stairs instead of the elevator, walking a couple of blocks to the subway station, or maybe spending some time working in the garden and things like that.

Jesus Christ !!!

The best way to get jacked is just lying on the couch, scrolling through your phone while you wait for DoorDash. Your biceps will be popping in no time. You just have to make sure you switch hands between calls—you know, gotta maintain that symmetry.

Sure, if you've got the right genetics..
People born with the right build can bulk up or pack on muscle just by eating more or hitting the gym harder..
Take a woman with an athlete's build—say, a pro soccer player—who stops moving and starts eating poorly; her whole frame will shrink, including her legs. But once she gets back into a routine and eats "normally," she'll eventually look like a high-level CrossFit coach or a pro athlete again..
If that kind of physical shift is possible for women, why wouldn't muscle growth or bodybuilding be possible for men?
I didn't provide a specific definition here, just so nobody tries to hit me with some technical counterargument.

Look, if you don't use your legs much—say, the muscles below the shin—and you have the genetics for them, but they're weak because you've been lazy, yeah, they'll transform.
It’s the same deal if your life is just passing college exams and barely lifting a spoon; if you actually go help a neighbor build a house, and you have the genes for muscle growth under load plus better nutrition—your biceps and triceps are going to beef up.
I have a family member who spent most of his life being wiry—basically looked like a grasshopper—but then he stopped smoking, started running, and took a construction job. In a pretty short amount of time, he bulked up like a beast compared to how thin he used to be... and obviously, he was eating more.
Then, once he started smoking again, slowed down on the training and the construction work, he dropped about 45 pounds in two years. Now he's back to looking like a grasshopper or a spider—just a skinny guy—and of course, he smokes more and eats less than he did for all those previous years.
And keep in mind, this guy never even heard of protein powders, steroids, or anything like that.

People born with that specific makeup can actually pack on muscle mass just by bumping up their calories or turning up the intensity during a workout..

Since there wasn't an actual definition provided, how is anyone supposed to even offer a counterargument?

Exactly. It’s impossible to argue against something that hasn't been defined.

The proof is right here:

Then, once he started smoking again, backed off the training, and stopped working construction, he dropped about 45 pounds in two years and is back to looking like a twig again.

The correlation between those events is pretty easy to spot, isn't it? 🧐

edit: Just a little hint...
not working construction = twig
working construction = built like a beast
not working construction = twig

Just picture some construction guy walking around wearing one of those old-school tool belts right on top of his head, and then he spends all his free time out there messing around in the garden.

😂😂😂
Honestly, this might be the most legendary thread on this entire forum so far.🤣🤣

Maybe try some heavy dumbbell curls in the morning; I swear your biceps will shoot up like mushrooms after a rainstorm.

this is hands down the most intense thread on this entire board so far...🤣🤣

Just try doing some single-arm dumbbell curls in the morning and you'll see those biceps popping up like mushrooms after a heavy rainstorm...

Yeah, but it’s kind of an asymmetrical movement, isn't it.......

If I can just manage to be right-handed one morning and left-handed the next, maybe then everything will finally feel perfectly balanced.

I mean, if you've got bags full of groceries, you can basically pull off some miracles on the way home... as long as they're heavy enough to make it worth the trip.

And isn't it just wonderful how, right after all that frantic packing and prep work, you can immediately settle in and feast on everything you brought?

The pattern is pretty obvious 🧐

edit: A little hint...
not working construction = grasshopper
working construction = jacked as hell
not working construction = grasshopper

Basically, tons of cigarettes and barely any food = grasshopper
Few cigarettes and solid meals = jacked as hell

Let's try this—some girl walks into the gym wearing shorts, and the guys who've been hanging around there for five or ten years just stare in disbelief 😲 because she actually has more muscle mass in her legs and naturally wider shoulders and a thicker ribcage than those guys who have been obsessively tracking calories and hitting leg day for years.
Then she leaves the gym, drops her intake to 1200 calories because she's dieting for summer, slows down her lifestyle to just doing housework, studying for exams, maybe walking the neighbor's dog, and hits some fat-burn or low-intensity cardio—over a few months, she turns into a total stick, but with model-tier legs.
She shows up at the gym again, and everyone's staring all over again 😲 ...
And then, once she's forced herself to be tiny, she naturally hypertrophies back up by training three times a week and eating slightly more... and people are surprised all over again. 🤣

If you've got the genetics to grow, you grow; if you've got the genetics to lean out, you lean out.
People built to grow have to "torture" themselves just to stay small, while those built to lean out have to "torture" themselves just to get big and stay there.
The big guys want to be small, and the small guys want to be big.

Very simple 🤣

Yeah, incredibly simple. When you can't be bothered to put in the work to get the results you want, just blame genetics. If you aren't doing what's required to see progress, it's all down to your DNA again. Genetics is the scapegoat for everything 😂

Susan Jackson12 said:Yeah, it's dead simple. When you can't be bothered to put in the work to hit your goals, suddenly it's just bad genetics. If you aren't seeing results because you aren't doing what's actually required—well, blame genetics again. Everything is just "genetics" 😂

Honestly, the funniest part is how much easier it is for the big guys to just slack off and shrink than it is for the small guys to grind their way up to being big 😉
though that's subjective, I guess...
You can only shrink massive muscle if you stop using it—your body basically eats the excess protein that built that muscle, which leads to the shrinkage.
But a weak muscle? You have to pump it and feed it, constantly. And if it won't grow despite all that—it just won't. 🤣

An Ectomorph isn't going to get jacked just by working harder or hitting the gym without supplements, powders, or gear,
whereas mesomorphs, meso-endomorphs, or endo-mesomorphs can—it's just that those with an endo component will likely pick up some fat around the waist or over those hypertrophied muscles, getting that soft look without any real definition.

frozenbison72 said:They’re just messing with you, don't let it get to you. You can totally build muscle doing the same routine every day. Look at Conan O'Brien; he spent years basically running in circles and ended up ripped. If you’re sweeping the floor every single day, yeah, your biceps are gonna grow. If you’re bending and squatting while washing dishes, that’s basically a deadlift for your back. People only hit the gym because they’re stuck in a desk job all day and have zero movement otherwise.
Just keep grinding. Vacuuming, cleaning, ironing, walking, squatting—if you eat right, you’ll be looking shredded in eight months.

yeah, sure, that's why women everywhere have 20-inch biceps😂
