Avatars in Banana?

Since I’m already here asking questions... I’ve thought about bringing this up a few times, hesitated, and then finally just caved today after seeing 😁

So, does anyone actually know why user avatars vanish once a handle gets banned?
But it doesn't happen every single time (which is the weird part—I get why they disappear, but I have no clue why some stay put), because while it’s rare for them to stick around, it happens, and I’m left wondering what kind of glitchy mystery we're dealing with 🤷 😕 🙄

I was looking at Slacker's profile today, he's banned, yet his avatar is still right there staring back at me with those glowing eyes

Anyone have an explanation?

I honestly think we’re looking at two different beasts here—the difference between an automated ban triggered by a points or reputation system versus one that’s manually handed down by a moderator.

Old accounts still have their avatars. They were probably made back in 2004 or 2005, I guess. Somewhere around then.

For anyone registered before some 🤷 date back in 2006—my account isn't staying 😢

I can't quite remember, but I think someone already brought this up. I honestly don't know why I bother typing these things out when most people just scroll right past anyway. No bio, no avatar, and he’s been registered since 2002? What a joke. 🤷

It wasn't. That’s why I’m surprised an admin wouldn't know that. It's about those older usernames, I don't know exactly when, maybe back in 2005 or 2006.
