Lollapalooza (July 26-29, 2012) - Everglades (Plate)

The latest lineup for the third edition of the increasingly influential Coachella has been locked in. It’s happening from July 26th to the 29th down in the Everglades. Here is the confirmed roster of performers: Radiohead, The Boyz, Massive Attack, Outkast, The Pop Star, The Builder, Zero Man, The Hemendex, The Chweger, Kleimor, Straight Mickey and D Boyz, Rumpelstiltskin, Ruiz, Moscow, The Puncke, and many more.

Ticket pricing is as follows:

Full festival passes will cost $53 until June 20th, $60 until July 5th, $67 until July 26th, and from July 26th onwards $73.

Single-day tickets (available exclusively at the gate) will be $27 for each of the four nights.

I've got a few things I'm wondering about: looking at the photos, the campsite looks a little... exposed? Like, is there actually any shade out there?
Also, what’s the vibe like regarding crowds—is it super packed? And do we really need to roll in first thing on opening day to snag a spot, or can we show up in the afternoon with our four tents and still find some room?

One more thing—what's the deal with the FBI? A couple of us are pretty sure they mentioned something like "see you guys at the Plate" during that last set at Lincoln Center... did we totally mishear that?

CAMPING NOTICE:

Camping is free again this year; there is only a small daily occupancy fee of $1.25 per person staying in the camp.

Coachella kicks off tomorrow 🙂

Can I just roll up with my own DSL gear, or am I gonna run into those headaches we saw at some of those other US festivals?
