Hello,

Has anyone dealt with this before? I’ve developed what feels like a subcutaneous sore on my breast that's tender to the touch. It isn't raised, just flush with the skin, though there is some redness around the area. I tried using a cabbage leaf—an old remedy for inflammation—but so far, nothing has changed; if anything, it looks a bit redder. Any advice?

Brenda Mendoza4 said:Hi everyone,

I'm wondering if anyone else has dealt with this kind of thing. I've got this spot on my breast that feels like a subcutaneous sore—it really hurts when you touch it. It isn't raised or anything, it's flat against the skin, but the area around it is super red. I actually tried the old cabbage leaf trick (people swear by it for inflammation), but honestly, I don't see any improvement. If anything, the redness looks even worse now. What should I do?

Go see a dermatologist immediately for an exam! In the meantime, you might try applying some neutral creams like Johnson & Johnson, calendula ointment, or maybe some Walmart brand ointment.

So, here's the deal: I'm 18, and just a couple of days ago, I noticed this little red spot right on the upper part of my areola—you know, that darker area—and the surrounding skin. Since then, it's actually grown a bit, and there's a tiny amount of swelling, though it doesn't really hurt or sting or anything like that.
What could this possibly be??

Hello, everyone.

I’ve had two positive pregnancy tests now, but when I called my OB-GYN, she told me I shouldn't bother coming in for another week and a half since it's still quite early—only five weeks since my last period. Over the past three weeks, I’ve been dealing with this intense itching on my left breast, specifically around the nipple and the outer area, and today some redness showed up as well. To add to my anxiety, there is a history of breast cancer on my mother's side. Should I be genuinely concerned and schedule an ultrasound, or could this just be a typical symptom of pregnancy? I have read about that famous pregnancy-related itching, but I couldn't find anything confirming that it would present asymmetrically rather than affecting both breasts.🤷

Given my family history, I definitely think regular breast ultrasounds are a must. My grandma passed away from breast cancer, so my doctor suggested I get an ultrasound done every six months just to be safe.
