The guy lost some massive points because of that "I don't give a damn" attitude of his. The Spanish squad is actually pretty solid; they've got this lineup that can play at a breakneck pace, but they can also just park the bus and grind you down with pure strength and defense. After all those messy unforced errors earlier on, they finally slowed things down in the transition and really tightened up their game..

If I'm being honest, we really missed having our star playmaker out there, since more than half of those lost possessions were basically his fault. If he had been playing at the same level he was against the Norwegians, we would've walked away with this win, regardless of how much the refs were screwing us ☕

Like I mentioned before, if the US wants to make it to the semifinals, they’re going to have to take down both Spain and France.
The score doesn't actually look as grim as it seems on paper, mostly because the Spanish defense is playing incredibly tough right now. They're definitely feeling the sting of not having Šterbik on their side, though, since they're stuck relying on two decent goalkeepers instead.

It feels like the US has been struggling with offensive consistency for a few years now, especially when they run into defensive walls like these. Honestly, isn't it a bit much to see so many players struggling to find their rhythm if we really want to win games at this level?

On the bright side for the US, they have a matchup against the weakest team in the bracket coming up next, so hopefully, they can capitalize on that and lock in a spot in the semifinals.

It’s looking pretty rough right now... Spain is sitting at 5 points and they’ve got two easy matchups left on their schedule, so they'll likely cruise through both. If we get lucky, we might just pull an upset against the French, knock them out, and lift ourselves up in the process. Then, if everything falls perfectly into place, we could end up facing the Mexicans as the runners-up in the semifinals... 🙂

So what happens if we drop this one to the Frenchmen? Even if we beat the Americans, we’re still stuck if they pull off a win in their final game.

Good grief. In that tie game, it felt like the refs were practically blowing wind in their favor. They let everything slide—foot faults, aggressive drives... If I recall correctly, those two jokers absolutely demolished John during the matchup against Norway.
If our offense hadn't completely stalled out and we hadn't made such ridiculous mistakes, we wouldn't be looking at this result.

We really can't afford to drop this one against the French, and let's be honest—we all know how those matchups usually play out. If we lose, the whole tournament is basically over.
