Messaging bug?

It says I have two unread messages in my inbox, but when I open it, instead of seeing those new messages at the top, I just find this sitting at the bottom. Wtf? 😕 🤷

it was obviously just a system reset, so this is basically the first official timestamp since everything rebooted
besides, you should probably see some progress if you just go ahead and do a total wipe of your inbox

That isn't the "initial system time," it's just a timestamp of 0. 😁

A timestamp is just how computers represent time using an integer. If the difference between two timestamps is 1, it means one is exactly one second ahead of the other. For a timestamp of 0, the reference point used is January 1, 1970, at 00:00:00 UTC. So:

-1 = December 31, 1969, 23:59:59 (UTC)
0 = January 1, 1970, 00:00:00 (UTC)
1 = January 1, 1970, 00:00:01 (UTC)
...

The message above is obviously just an empty entry where all fields were initialized to their default values, including the date and time field. It was likely set to a value that evaluates to the integer 0 before being converted into a date/time format. In practice, this could be anything: an empty string, the integer 0, or a NULL value...
