Partial ban

I was wondering if anyone knows how long my partial ban on the Lonely Heart subforum is gonna last, since my favorite moderator Daisy didn't actually give me a heads-up on the duration after that whole chaotic mess went down. Thanks. ☕

Yeah, look, partial bans aren't some temporary thing with an expiration date—they stay until further notice. As for getting rid of them? If you go, say, the next 18 months without catching a single warning or getting banned at all, and you don't even show up to the Town Hall meetings... then maybe we can start thinking about it.

But "thinking about it" is the keyword here.

Honestly though, an 18-month wait is just way too long for something you’re basically just mulling over; if it were 6 months, I might be down, but 18 is just overkill.
Anyway, I’ve managed to rack up "only" about 240 penalty points over on the Lonely Heart board, yet some folks over on the Politics board pull double or even triple that without ever seeing a partial ban. It's not like I'm looking for a trophy, but back when I was hanging out on the Youths board, I hit exactly 820 points and didn't get slapped with a partial ban either. It feels like there's this incredibly weird and honestly stupid rule where a single moderator or a small group decides on partial bans instead of it being based strictly on how many points someone actually earns. If we're following that logic, giving a moderator total discretion to hand out partial bans raises one huge question: if you happen to clash with a mod, or they decide they don't like you, they can just toss you into a partial ban whenever they feel like it—and let's be real, it was pretty obvious that Daisy absolutely loathed me. Whatever, I don't really care enough to dwell on it, but the whole system is just broken because it gives moderators the power to essentially purge anyone they find inconvenient from their specific boards. ☕

Since nobody from that crew bothered to read what I had to say last time, I guess I'll just say it again: I'm done with the (unintentional) trolling and the Offtopic chatter, since I've got the actual Offtopic board to go to now, which means you esteemed moderators won't have to waste your precious free time cleaning up my boring posts anymore. 🙂

Oh, really? 🤷 I guess you guys just conveniently ignored that since you didn't mention you were even considering it until now. Look, my goal isn't to rack up warnings because that just kills my ability to talk to the people I actually want to chat with, and right now I’ve got this perfect little topic where we could all just hang out in the off-topic section and vibe without any consequences, so there's really no need to worry—especially not dainty—about my posts getting flagged here in the USA. If you guys have even a shred of heart left, you might want to take another look at that partial ban decision.
