It’s better than the 7.1 on IMDb, I guess. Just a really simple life story that probably happens all the time, maybe just with different circumstances. No flying cars or jumping off buildings here. I’d give it like an 8.5.👍

James Gandolfini is brilliant, and Kristen Stewart is great too.

The only thing worth noting about this movie is the color palette...

Everything feels far too sterile... all those blue tones. I really love films with that specific kind of interior aesthetic. If anyone knows of other movies with a similar vibe, please drop some recommendations.

The lead actor is fine, but she always seems to have that same vacant, wide-eyed expression in every single role she takes. 😂
The dialogue is hollow. It lacks a compelling plot.

Yeah, let’s just call it what it is: the movie is—to put it mildly—pretty terrible. It feels like this incredibly limp, half-baked attempt at finding some sort of emotional depth, which I suppose it manages to touch upon briefly right at the start when Leo actually pulls it off, but then everything just falls apart. It suffers from this massive problem with flat, one-dimensional characters, an issue that only gets worse when the plot decides to unravel halfway through the runtime. The whole thing misleads you by promising so much more than it actually delivers, ultimately resulting in nothing more than a completely pointless waste of time. Honestly, if you believe the IMDb data suggesting they spent nearly a year hunting for a distributor after filming wrapped almost three years ago, it really explains why the whole production feels so stagnant. But the absolute biggest letdown, without a doubt, has to be Gandolfini. My god, you know a performance is truly hollow when even a simple blink from someone like Stewart fails to elicit any kind of reaction from him, leaving us stuck with that same old, tired Sopranos-style acting he’s been leaning on forever.

All things considered, I suppose it looks decent enough on paper, though in practice, it’s bordering on an absolute disaster. It’s just like what my colleague mentioned—the only thing about this whole mess that actually hits the mark is its dark, sterile emptiness.
